Martha Have you read Are You My Mother? Also try Big Dog...Little Dog, Sam and the Firefly, and A Fish Out of Water. They are all by P.D. Eastman. Read Sean Read!

message 3: by Heidi (new)

Heidi My boys always wanted to go to that big dog party... and I agree.. all of P.D. Eastman's kids books are charming!

Sara Hickman I put my daughter up on her changing table getting her ready for bed. Go Go Doggie? Go Go Doggie? Every night this is the request made. I happily oblige. This was my favorite book when I was young. Once I could read to my siblings it is one that I read to them often. As we read the book she usually repeats the last word I say of the sentence and points to all the different doggies.

Petula My daughter is 6 and has almost every book in the Seuss collection. The P.D. Eastmans are her favorite. Theses were the first ones she tried to read on her own.

Vincent Chough The only book I have read more times than Go Dog Go is Hop on Pop by Seuss.

Five kids will distort your reading list some.

Andrea I have read it so much I have memoristed it.

Hippasus This was my favorite book as a child.

Kandace Brown My daughter is 3 & loves this book, we read it over & over, she even has some of it memorized!

K Leigh One of the reasons that this is one of my favorite Dr Seuss books is because it is a LOVE story! "Do you like my hat?" LOL

James My daughter screams every time she eats broccoli (which she refers to as "the dog party") to mimic the sound of the dog's screaming as she eats them.

The tree at the end of the book, where the dogs "party", looks like a stem of broccoli. I think she may be evil.

Ederyn Khushrenada Hee! I still have this book, and it DOES look like broccoli! Funny, I never noticed that before. Even though it's a kiddie book, I do love to read this one and my other favorite Dr. Seuss books to help me get to sleep at night. It's fun to return to childhood every night and relive all the good memories of these books. =^ᴗ^=

Loved those as a child--read them over and over again!!

Mike Dean I haven't the faintest idea why this book has attracted every insufferable, cynical hipster on goodreads to put together an "ironic" review. The book is a breezy kids' classic and loads of fun for the juice box set...the end.

Melinda Brasher One of my favorites. I still quote it, and I'm over 30.

Beau Best ever

Andrew my sisters read it so..... i like it i gus

Holly When my daughter was two this was her favorite. We read it every night and she had to have the book with her when she went to sleep. I also suspect that she taught herself to read using this book.

Mariam i love this book
