I sent this out over at the Book Nook Cafe group, and am posting it here since Miss O'Cat is a very important part of the M/T Community:
I know we all have been looking around the Nook for our missing kitty. Lifting cushiions, checking cradles, the tops of the book shelves, and under the sofas. Well, I am glad to announce that she has been found!
I wish I could tell you that she had been slumbering safely snuggled on the sofa in the sunshine, but the truth is she is a VERY busy kitty.
I got a note from her in which she asked me to let everyone know that once again, her teaching duties, commuting, her mom, and sleep are filling her hours....I'm reprinting some of her note here:
"I'll be back to the boards when I'm able. To give you an idea of my schedule, it's 3 minutes to 10:00 p.m. here and I just got home after leaving the house at 6:15 this morning. I spend one weekend day at school and one with my mother. Most of the time when I get home I go straight to bed, literally.
I'm reading very little. I went through a spate of celebrity biographies during Christmas Break. I've got the new Greg Mortenson book and, as much as I'd love to be reading it, I haven't picked it up in more than a week. I don't watch much TV, but I have gotten interested in The Good Wife. I don't think you watch Survivor,{She forgot that I DO!} so I don't think you'll care that I think Russell was robbed when he didn't win. I'm looking forward to the new seasons of Dancing With the Stars and Project Runway--back in New York, yay!
Would please pass along word that I'm okay and I hope not to offend anyone too much by being so negligent of my online friendships. I think about all of you often--especially when the weather is bad EVERYWHERE!
And when I cruised through a few discussions on BNC during Christmas Break, I couldn't help but notice that NO ONE was posting a Determination List. Tsk. I, of course, have diligently made mine and it's listed in my Goodreads profile."
I'm glad to hear from her, I was getting worried, and I know some of you were as well. At least we know Miss O'Cat is hanging in there!
Thanks so much for tracking down and reporting the news that our Ms. O'Cat is (unfortunately) very (very!) busy with little time to read. We do miss her and hope for summer break to allow her time to relax and get some fun time into her schedule.
