Nick 2E0NAQ (nick196742) | 630 comments 19 The Lost Symbol (Robert Langdon, #3) by Dan Brown by Dan Brown
Another good book by Dan Brown. Robert Langdon get it sorted once again and I hope there will be many more book to come in the Robert Langdon Series.
I did find the story heavy going at times same with Angels and Demons, The Da Vinci Code. But I put it down to my reading why I felt the books heavy going not the way Dan Brown writes.

Timothy Pilgrim (oldgeezer) | 224 comments Hi Nick,
I hope you got on well with your group, it must have been a bit nerve racking, these things usually are first time around. It's my turn tonight,[thursday @6.30:], I'm being interviewed on Wayland radio ,107.3fm, about my just released gardening book, 'Beyond the Potting Shed'. I've never done anything like it before, I suppose nervous is a good description, it hasn't reached the panic stage... YET!!!
It should be possible for you to listen to it via their web page.
Anyway, well done you, I'll let you know if I survive!!
All the best Paul Rix [oldgeezer:]

Hi Nick, Yes, do tell us how it went?

message 64: by Nick 2E0NAQ (new)

Nick 2E0NAQ (nick196742) | 630 comments Ya the evening went quite well but after they had finish talking about what I have done through out my life and how I have managed to get round thing with my disability. I felt that I shouldn’t of been in the group as I felt very distend from the group it up set me a bit as every one was really nice. I think why I felt like that was because I was the new one in the group and didn’t really know what was going on. Like when the lady that runs the group gave us a writing challenge to sit and do, she made us all pick a beginning and an end to our short stories. I just wanted the ground to open up as I know that I couldn’t write by hand and I feel so embarrassed because I can’t manage to do stories like as I can’t cope when I'm put on the spot like that. I sat by the lady the take the group and she said that she would do the writing for me which did make me feel a bit more at ease. I still had to rap the brain sells to think up a story so quick and every one else had their heads down and busy writing which made me think Oh god nick hurry up and think of something up in the end I manage to think of something.
Even though the evening went they were starting to make me feel uncomfortable by saying that I should get my book published and where telling me where to send my book and how to go about it too. I am a long way off finishing writing it so I felt that they were rushing me to finish it (not nice).
I feel very unsure about going next month.

Nick 2E0NAQ (nick196742) | 630 comments Hi all
Hope things are going ok for you all? Sorry that I havent been on much or been in the group. It that I have been busy getting things sorted go and I have had quite a few interviews for diferent courses that I want to do.
I just started a English course which is Ran at my local Library. The course is for people with Dyslexica or other reading or spelling problems. We can go at our know pace or if we need extra we can get it and as I need to use a computer they are going to peravide one for me which will be a great help. When the Tutor came and had a chat with in class she told me that she cant see why not that I cant work up to my GCSE English exam that real put a smile on my face and she has made me feel confendent that I can do it. We have got to read 5 Poems and 5 short story's as a grout which I am looking forward too I think.
Friday I have got my final interview for my ECDL Computer course that I want to do. I have got to pay for it on friday. my tutor Lee is going to go through a bit more with me about the course. He is also going to make sure that I am comfertable using the computer as he said he can get me a tracker ball to use instead of a mouse which will be great.

Em (emmap) | 2707 comments Yes, I think you'll enjoy those courses Nick. Tutor sounds v helpful too.

Good luck with studies Nick.

I switched recently from mouse to track ball and I have found it to be very comfortable. It does take a bit of getting used to though. Trouble is there are not very many available. I got the Logitech one which is cordless.
