Dena (lalien) | 10 comments I own a few plays adapted by Stephen Briggs from Terry Pratchett's novels. On Goodreads the plays have all been combined with editions of the novels they are adapted from. Since they are adapted works by another author, I've separated out all but one of the ones I own. For some reason I cannot separate Terry Pratchett's Men At Arms (The Play) ISBN 9780552144322. I can get to the Separate page, but that edition is not listed, even though it is in the list of all editions of the work. Can someone give me a hand with this?

Thanks!

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments It is not combined with any other books as the author specified first on this edition is not Terry Pratchett but is Stephen Briggs so the play appears under Stephen Briggs profile rather than Terry Pratchett's and therefor will not be on the Combine Editions page for Terry Pratchett.

It appears on the All editions list as Terry is listed as an author but in the secondary postion so it does not display on the main list.

I am not sure I have explained this particually well so hopefully some one else can explain in a clearer fashion

Dena (lalien) | 10 comments I just went in and changed the author order so Terry Pratchett goes first, but the book still does not come up in the separate page.

The play is not an edition of the novel, so it really does not belong in the list of editions.

It's at the very top! Somehow, this has become the most popular edition of "Men At Arms", almost certainly by accident since it looks like many of those reviews are of the book, not of the play. You can fix this by deleting and recreating the play edition, but anyone who was genuinely intending to shelve the play will be shifted as well. :( Still, it looks like that may be the best option....

Dena (lalien) | 10 comments I can't delete the edition because it has so many reviews on it,even though they're for the book and not the play. I think I need a super-librarian!

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments Uh-oh. The server is timing out as I try to delete this -- that's not a good sign!

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments I've created the new edition -- can you check it over? I'm going to ask GR support to delete this from the server side, since it seems to be overloading from the front end.

Michael Economy (michaeleconomy) I moved all the review over to the mass market paperback....

You guys should be able to split out the play now.
