I started to read a Christina Dodd book and could not get into it for the life of me...I read three chapters and put it away...just didn't move enough for me!

Danielle, thank you for the Dodd recommend. I want to read her, I just need a better place to start. I'll look into Governess Brides. Thanks!

What do y'all think?

Cool. I'll start with that one, then. Thanks!

I read Lynsay Sands' book The Switch. A very fun read. Reminded me a little of the Wallflowers. Very funny. About identical twin sisters who decide to escape from their uncle and potential husbands (one a wife beater, the other rather large and older). They decide the best way to proceed is to have one of them dress as a boy and attempt to ask their uncle on their mom's side for help. While escaping they are seen by a man who decides to take them under his wing. By having one pretend to be a boy all sorts of hilarious situations are created. I could hardly stop laughing. Perhaps not as steamy as Kleypas, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe a touch more like Julia Quinn's books.

YW, Dhestiny.
I think the Dodd book I started reading was Castles in the Air...I just couldn't get into it and I sold that one a a couple others on ebay.....

I was able to finish it, but it made me kind of hesitant to buy any more of her books. Though I do have Candle in the Window on my bookshelf.
I had that one too and sold it. I just didn;t like her style.....to slow and didn;t hold my interest. About 15 pages in, I knew wit wasn't for me...tried to keep going but after chapter 3...I was done.

Danielle recommended her Governess Brides series. I might go that route next time I want to give her a shot.

Gotta gift certificate --- must buy more ..."
yes have book 2 on hand. Bones is yummy luv.

Can't wait!

Re-read them all over again .. LOL

Rachael, I've read and re-read LK esp the Travis series...can't wait for her new stuff!
I so wish Lk would learn to write faster! LOl, It's pure torture waiting for new books of hers to come out!

OMG!!! That is my absolute FAVORITE book of all time!! With McNaught's "Whitney my love as a VERY close second. OMG.... EVERYBODY should read that series! "Westmoreland" series!! Another fantastic one I read about a month or so ago was "Something Wonderful" and it blew me away as well. Just wonderful
Another author that everyone should check out is Tracy Ann Warren. Her books are PHENOMENAL!! I am head over heels for her "Trap" series, the first trilogy she wrote, however I've read every single one of her books and have never been disappointed so, y'all should definitely check her out!

WONDERFUL BOOKS!! You should DEFINITELY read them!

Harry R fans, I just reread Tempt me at Twilight...sighhhh!

Absolutely "Something Wonderful" to read!!! I enjoyed every moment of reading this novel. Once again, Judith McNaught does it! Another fantabulous book to add to the others. It was very easy to fall in love with Jordon and Alexander. Their character development is sensational and it's so easy to feel what the characters are feeling. The plot and storyline kept me on the edge of my seat throughout its entirety. They have their ups and downs that keep the reader on their toes and all together its a completely wonderful book. I absolutely adored it!
I hope I helped! You should definitely read it. I'm sure you'll love it. It would be really hard not to! =]

I loved it, too!

I totally understand! *hugs*

I just won one and am sooooooooooooooooo excited I can hardly type!!!! I don't know what to expect, can anyone tell me?

I got several ARCs last year, and I just received an e-book ARC of the HR, Guise of a Gentleman by Donna Hatch a few days ago. Yesterday, I was also offered another e-book ARC of the sci-fi/fantasy romance, Red Leopard by Vijaya Schartz. Neither are even up on GR yet.
What book did you get, Dhestiny?

I won Knight of Passion by Margaret Mallory. I'm very, very excited! The covers are so beautiful!

I'm on Viscount Who Loves Me now. Oh good, another big series to get into.
