UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Extreme Exposure is book 1, Heidi. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but the stories are not connected, and so I think you could easily start with book 2. There won't be any spoilers for book 1 if you do.

The thing is, we all read romance novels and we know there will be a HEA, so yeah, in book 1 Kara and Reece get their HEA, which you'll read a little about in book 2, but that's the extent of the spoiler factor.

message 803: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments You're welcome, Bekah. I hope you'll give them a try soon. I think you'll be pretty impressed.

message 804: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 871 comments Oh boy since I really dont need to read book one first, than maybe I will jump into boook two! tanks dhes for letting me know!

message 805: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments You're welcome, Heidi! I hope you LURVE Julian as much as I do!!

message 806: by Amar (new)

Amar | 118 comments Alright, ladies, I just read samples of the first two Pamela Clare I-series that you all are raving about and I am not intrigued at all...what's wrong with me???

message 807: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 871 comments Amar, I think I haven;t started the series because the first book the "hero" is a politician, and I ahve concerns if that can be remotely sexy at all!

message 808: by Amar (new)

Amar | 118 comments Heidi, I don't know if that's the issue with me...but check this out, maybe it will change your mind! :-)

message 809: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Amar, I thought all the books were really good, but book 1 isn't an action adventure type story, even though there's some of that in there. But books 2-5 are very action packed. Book 2 is actually most people's favorites.

If you're uncertain if you want to purchase the books in case you don't like them, try finding them at the library if you can. I don't know much about your specific tastes in books, but I really don't think you'd be disappointed.

message 810: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 871 comments He looks to goody-goody for me Amar!

message 811: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Heidi wrote: "He looks to goody-goody for me Amar!"

He is pretty idealistic, but I love that about him because he doesn't sit back and wait for everyone else to make changes, he steps up and does it himself. I think you'd be surprised how UN goody-goody he actually is.

I wasn't sure I'd like it either, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good the story is. Don't sell Reece short just because he's not your run of the mill hero.

message 812: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (melaina) | 638 comments Totally agree with Dhes! Reece is to die for:-) Different than the heroes in the other books because he isn't law enforcement, but so sexy anyway!!!:-D

message 813: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

Amar | 118 comments Heidi, yeah? but check out the six pack!!
I have been looking at my library (and the extended network of local libraries it is part of) and none of them have PC's I-Team books...strange.

message 819: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments YES!!!!!!!!!!! LOLOL He was deserving of his own shelf!!!

message 820: by Trewen (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I have all kinds of kinky shelves!!

message 824: by Trewen (new)

Trewen | 33 comments I couldn't believe how many shelves you have!
I will definitely be perusing.....I've been following your reviews since I've been on GR :)

message 825: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Really?? That's very flattering!

I create so many shelves because I do a lot of challenges and if I am in need of a specific kind of book, I can find it easier because of my shelving system. If Goodreads ever starts charging by the shelf, I'm screwed! LOL

message 826: by Trewen (new)

Trewen | 33 comments Is it weird that I alway check to see how people shelve their books when I check my updates? It gives great insight to what's in a book that may not be written in a review. Some are so clever, they crack me up!

message 827: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (last edited May 13, 2011 10:55PM) (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I know! Shawna, one of my GR friends, has tons of shelves. Sometimes her shelving is longer than her review! LOL

She's my shelf idol!

message 828: by Trewen (new)

Trewen | 33 comments I know exactly who your talkin' about! I follow her too :)

message 829: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments LOL!!!!! Too funny!!!

What is your favorite genre? My 2 favorites are HR and RS.

message 830: by Trewen (new)

Trewen | 33 comments I'm mostly HR but have recently gotten into contemporary romance.
What's RS?

message 831: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Romantic Suspense. Pamela Clare is my favorite RS author. She also writes wonderful HR.

message 832: by Amar (new)

Amar | 118 comments LOL Dhes! Love that shelf! I remember there was a Sandra Brown book too with a hot politician... the one whose evil wife died in a plane crash but a reporter who was in the same crash had facial surgery to look like the wife. Anybody read it?

message 833: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (melaina) | 638 comments Just finished Thunder and Roses (Fallen Angels, #1) by Mary Jo Putney and really enjoyed it! 4.5* for me.. A very sweet love story! Can't wait to read the rest of the Fallen Angel series...

message 834: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I didn't read that one, Amar. Why would the reporter do that? To trick him?

Do not touch with a barge pole. At least until you have read her older stuff and think you have to read her whole list. The first in the new series was terrible and the second was ok.

I love MJP but just would hate to disapoint anyone by letting them read these before most of the others!!

They are connected, yes (only the two books though). Best read in order, but not a crisis if you read 2 first. Tell us what you think. Many of us didn't like the hero.

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments you guys don't like Logan??

message 847: by Laura (new)

Laura Landon (lauralandon) | 108 comments I'm a Mary Jo Putney fan, too. If you haven't read The Bargain (Regency #1) by Mary Jo Putney and One Perfect Rose (Fallen Angels, #7) by Mary Jo Putney they are both 'must reads'!

message 849: by Melanie (new)

Thx for the MJ Putney info!

message 850: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments At Autumn's urging, I recently read Fallen From Grace by Laura Leone and was surprised by how much I loved it.

It's not an erotic read, but it's a steamy contemporary romance with a controversial storyline that the author handles very well, and makes it believable!

Ryan is a male escort, and while he doesn't love the job, it's good money and he feels obligated to stay in the life because the person who "owns" him saved his life when he was just a kid.

Well, he's met someone and even though he keeps claiming that it's just a job to him, she can't bring herself to be in a relationship with Ryan because she'll be sending him off to work everyday knowing he's sleeping with other women. So he has to choose between his loyalty to his "madam" or the woman he's falling in love with, Sara.

I really hope you'll give it a shot. I wish I had a copy I could lend, but it was a birthday gift and it's only on my Kindle, no paperback to share.

I reviewed it, if anyone's interested, and spoilers are hidden. Dhes' Review of Fallen from Grace

You can also download a sample from amazon to check it out.
