Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) If there are any science books you have read as comfort reads, please discuss them here.

Lynne | 20 comments Although it is a memoir, Uncle Tungsten gives a fun perspective on chemistry and childhood.

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) Lynne, I loved that book too!

Chrissie I just moved Uncle Tungsten to a must shelf. You both must know about Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman! Adventures of a Curious Character, which I highly recommend!

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) Chrissie, That one has been languishing on my to-read shelf for too long. I even own a copy!

I am suspicious to talk about Feynman since I studied Physics from all his books during my graduation course.

Chrissie Laura, what a mind he had. I would put him in the genius category. He can make anything difficult easy to learn. This is a biography of bits of his life. I adored his questioning, imagination and his behavior toward "rules".

Laura | 294 comments that´s why I absolutely love his books since he is able to teach physics without any math behind. I must read this biography some day.

Laura | 294 comments another genious, is Albert Einstein explaning his relativity theory even for non-physicists, quite amazing.

Chrissie I have completed Isaac's Storm: A Man, a Time, and the Deadliest Hurricane in History. Here follows my spoiler-free review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/.... This is an excellent book filled with the science of weather, the politics behind the Weather Bureau and the dramatic recounting of one terrible hurricane in Galveston, Septimber 1900.
