Mark Steven Ritter | 6 comments Why are books published in different languages with different ISBNs combined? If one has an English version and the original language version of a book, one cannot add both copies to a bookshelf.

Examples;
Anatole France Les dieux ont soif / The Gods Will Have Blood.
Italo Calvino Fiabe Italiane / Italian Folktales.

Ralph Gallagher | 200 comments Because they're basically different editions of the same book. You can't add the hardcover and paperback version of a book even if you have both of them.

Mark Steven Ritter | 6 comments That makes no sense. Hardcover/paperback I can understand, but combining multiple language editions is odd.

message 4: by Paula (new)

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments You can added/review different editions - on the book page - Under the my review section - there are two options - Review this Edition / Switch to this edition

If you select the Edition you want to review it will add it to the shelves you select

You certainly CAN, as Paula explained. We even have a help item explaining how.
