The episode I was referring to was Season One Episode 15: Inner Child. Here is a the summary/description from the booklet: In a tunnel that's been sealed for 70 years, workers discover a feral boy who has a strange, intuitive connection to a serial killer.

I'm wondering about his connection to the watchers, because it wasn't really explained but at the end of the episode he leaves with the them.

message 252: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) OK, I remember that one now. That was a really strange episode.

Christine I was checking my email and Yahoo has an article that Fringe may be cancelled. Nooooooooo!

message 254: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) No way!
I'm gonna go freak out now....

If that happened I would find a way to travel to another reality where it continues :-)

Don't they have the best things that go bump in the night on that show. I used to watch it late it night and freak myself out. I would be scared to walk back to my bedroom knowing that what ever had been on the show that night was waiting to jump out at me. Right now I have 3 shows to catch up on from the current season. Hopefully this weekend!

Here's some info on Fringe that I found - It seems to just be speculative about the next season lineup and what might be canceled or moved - some of the comments are interesting.

There is a current season? I didn't know it was still on - how many seasons are there? I am still watching the beginning of season one, but I liked it enough that I bought season two today with a Borders coupon.

Oh, I was asking about how many seasons of Supernatural - but are the shows on hold for Baseball? I do still need to catch up on Fringe too - maybe this weekend :-)

Jackie (thelastwolf) Oops, I got all mixed up on answering. I'll go back and delete that. I thought we were still talking about Fringe.

Just forget everything I said. I'm tired and I'm loopy. LOL

Supernatural is currently on Season 6. Supernatural is a CW show, so it's still on. Friday nights, I can hardly wait, less than 20 hours to go!

Ok - well, I guess you're a big fan :-)

yeah, for some reason I thought it was over and done - shows how unfamiliar I am with the show (newbie here) but very glad to hear it's still going - it'll be fun to continue with Supernatural, but it's gonna take quite a while to catch up. Here's hoping for many more seasons for Fringe too! I love these kinds of show :-)

Is there any show I watch that you don't, Jackie? I suppose you are a Smallville fan too! I don't even need to ask if you watch Caprica, but I'm curious whether you watch Sanctuary.

message 266: by Jackie (last edited Oct 22, 2010 08:17AM) (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) Jason,
I am a total TV addict. I never watched TV til a few years ago and now I feel that I must watch everything.
Yes on Smallville, but only recently. Got caught up so I join in this year.
Caprica and Stargate Universe, love 'em.
I don't really like Sanctuary. I had no intention of picking it up this year. Then I saw the preview commercials and added it to my DVR anyway. I don't know how long I'll keep it because I haven't been impressed so far. It's the addiction that brings me back, not the show. But I did manage to drop Warehouse 13 and not pick it back up again. Yay for me.

Jaice Cooperrider (plasborgma) | 1299 comments Jackie wrote: "...It's the addiction that brings me back, not the show. But I did manage to drop Warehouse 13 and not pick it back up again."

I understand. I have never been much of a fan of Sanctuary, but I continue to watch it, more as a compulsion than as a desire. I only asked about Sanctuary because it is a Friday night show. I felt about Warehouse 13 about like I feel about Sanctuary, but it improved quite a bit during season 2, IMO, so it's too bad you gave it up after season 1. I considered giving it up after season 1, but am now glad I didn't.

message 268: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) I didn't like the main characters in Warehouse, Myka and Pete. Ugh, the world's worst actors. Glad they were in one show, hahaha

I can always rent the seasons if I ever run out of stuff to watch.

Sort of (via Angel, but never saw much of actual Buffy, even though I own the series on DVD), no, absolutely, and no. :-)

message 271: by Christine (new)

Christine I loved Buffy! That show was so much fun. Joss Whedon is a genius.

Did anyone watch Firefly? Another goodie!

message 272: by Jenna (new)

Jenna (bookworm12186) I didnt watch firefly but am still a buffy fanatic. Did you watch all 7 seasons?

message 273: by Christine (new)

Christine Jenna wrote: "I didnt watch firefly but am still a buffy fanatic. Did you watch all 7 seasons?"

Yes, I did and its all my daughter's fault. She got me hooked. I thought she was a little too young for it and decided to watch it with her and then it became kind of a mother/daughter ritual every week. We started with the DVDS and then caught up to the weekly show. It made for some great leverage for getting chores and homework done. LOL

Christine Jenna wrote: "I didnt watch firefly but am still a buffy fanatic. Did you watch all 7 seasons?"

Oh forgot about Firefly. It only lasted one season and it was so good. The characters were so much fun. You had to love them. The movie wasn't as good but it was great to see these characters again.

I never watched Firefly, but it is in my Netflix queue, along with Serenity. It will probably be a while before I get to it. I loved Dollhouse and was really upset when it was canceled after season 2. X-(

Jackie (thelastwolf) Jenna wrote: Question but gotta ask since alot of us are sci fi or weird show lovers..any buffy, xena, charmed, ghost whisperer fanatics?

Some Buffy, once Angel left, so did I. Yes for Xena (and Hercules), Ghost Whisperer, Medium, Dollhouse. Some Charmed. Never had the chance to see Firefly or Farscape. I think I'll rent those two if I ever get enough time.

What about Tru Calling? That's when I came to appreciate Eliza Dushku because I really wanted to kick her ass when she was Faith, LOL

message 277: by Christine (new)

Christine I also watched Angel, spinoff of Buffy.

Yes to Medium (but not anymore), Dollhouse, and some Charmed. I want to watch Farscape and thankfully my library has them all. I need to finish Mad Men before I start another series.

I didn't see Tru Calling but it got good reviews but just wasn't watched. If you would have stuck with Buffy, you probably would have liked Faith in the end.

I guess the world series is affecting the TV shows huh? I wouldn't know. But the hulu Fringe info says episode 5 will be available to watch online either Nov. 5 or Nov 12 depending on when the World Series ends. At least I still have Episode Four to watch before then :-)

message 284: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) That's when I dislike baseball, when it interfers with my TV obsession.

Yes, definitely a good episode, as always. :)

message 285: by Christine (new)

Christine I've been waiting to watch the last episode of Fringe on my DVR just because I can't go that long without seeing it. Its too complex a story to go this long without another episode. I start to forget and then have to spend the 1st 15 minutes of the show trying to remember why that was happening.

With that being said, being from the SF Bay Area, Go Giants!

message 286: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) OK, for you only, Go Giants! LOL

Becca (goblinfan) | 29 comments I love Buffy, have all of it on DVD. I was a fan of Xena for a while also, until for some reason I couldn't keep up with new episodes. Also loved Firefly, and Serenity. I have all of Tru Calling on DVD though haven't finished the second season of it. I was catching up on Dollhouse, though I'm not really surprised it was cancelled. I've tried to get into Angel, but other than a few episodes, I couldn't.
I spent the last two weeks watching all of Blood Ties and Moonlight. I'm considering starting Moonlight over again, though I think Blood Ties is the better series of those two. I used to watch Charmed religiously, but life seriously interfered with my tv watching.

Yeah, it has a way of doing that. :( Really annoys me too!

Anyone watch True Blood?

message 290: by Becca (new)

Becca (goblinfan) | 29 comments Absolutely love True Blood! It's better than the books IMO.

message 291: by Christine (new)

Christine Becca wrote: "Absolutely love True Blood! It's better than the books IMO."

I think so too. It seems so long until the next season!

message 292: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) I only read the first book and I already saw True Blood, Season one, at that time. I know it's sacrilege in some quarters but I like the series better. It translates better visually on the screen than it did in my head. What with hotties like Eric, Jason, Lafayette and Jesus, the visuals abound!

It's an eternity to the next season. As much as I love the pay cable shows, 13 episodes for the year is just not enough.

message 293: by Becca (new)

Becca (goblinfan) | 29 comments True Blood is the only reason my brother puts up with HBO. I like that in the show, there is just so much more going on. And, yes, definitely the visuals. I was...um...ahem...stimulated by the scene between Eric and the 'wife' of the King of Mississippi. That was quite hot IMO. :D

message 294: by Christine (new)

Christine I read the first book before I saw the show and I didn't like it. Then I saw the show, put the voices of the show into the voices of the book and now the books get me through until the next season. It helps that I have all the actors faces to imagine as I read the books. LOL. I think I am about half way thru the Sookie books.

Thank goodness I like the other shows on HBO. I'm watching Broadwalk Empire now and looking forward to another season of Big Love and then the new one, Game of Thrones.

message 295: by Jaice (new)

Jaice Cooperrider (plasborgma) | 1299 comments I intend to rent True Blood from Netflix eventually. It looked good from the 20 minutes I saw of an episode once.

message 296: by Jackie (last edited Oct 24, 2010 10:24PM) (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) Christine, I like the way you think. I wanted to read the rest of the Sookie books and always put it off thinking the show will ruin the experience, now you just gave me every reason why I should! More Eric is always a bonus, YUM!

Jason, it's really a great show. It's got everything: scary, sexy, gruesome, funny, freaky, and more. Don't be put off by our obvious panting, you'll get your share too, there's plenty of gorgeous women too. HeeHee!

message 297: by Becca (new)

Becca (goblinfan) | 29 comments Jason, it's very good. Definitely shows the vamps in a more monstrous light, if that's something you'd prefer. It's refreshing. Plus, the shows writers are very talented, IMO. Great acting, and as mentioned above, great visuals.

Definitely no sparkling. I agree with everything Jackie and Becca have said. Its an amazing show.

Carol Neman | 118 comments Back to an earlier comment on Eliza Dushku...pre-Buffy she was in the movie True Lies, playing The Ahhhnold's daughter, who was supposed to be around 12 or 13. She did OK IMO. I haven't seen Tru Calling, but was interested when it was announced, with her playing Tru...I never got around to watching it, just too busy, and was very, very dismayed to find it was being cancelled...without my even having seen it. Is that series on DVD? If not, I wonder if Hulu would have it??
