What to do with this folder

This folder is so we can recommend royal themed movies, TV shows, documentary's, mini-movies... you get the drift. I will post one to start.

Great thread Colleen. There have been so many good recommendations for shows to watch. It will be great to have them all in one folder.

Has anyone watched the Showtime show The Tudors? I know it isn't very historically accurate, but I was wondering if anyone recommends it anyway. I keep hearing good things about it, but not from anyone who is well-read or into HF.

You are welcome Kate and Lyn! I was fooling around in the TL one and figured I should start one here too.

Kimberly, there is a raging discussion on that show in the Tudor History Lovers group. In a nutshell everyone agrees it is hideously inaccurate but the director makes up for it with incredibly lush scenery and costumes and enough eye candy to send a person into a diabetic coma. All in all if you can ignore the historic inaccuracies you should enjoy the show.

Haha, I love your description of it as "eye candy to send a person into a diabetic coma"! LOL! You have confirmed all of my suspicions then. It probably be behoove me to brush up on my Tudor history before watching it, lest I become confused with the Hollywood version of history.

Ive just started on season 2 of The Tudors
God i love the actor who plays Charles Brandon.
The real one certainly didnt look like him.
It was so sad when they banished Katherine.
