No, but thanks for asking. I'm feeling pretty miserable, and so is Benjamin. I'm not sure if it's the same virus or we have something new on top of it. No, but thanks for asking. I'm feeling pretty miserable, and so is Benjamin. I'm not sure if it's the same virus or we have something new on top of it. But I don't want to complain today, I just want to be glad that it's the weekend and we don't have to go out. I'm so jealous of Gundula. Imagine, cupcake delivery from Lee! So, you've found a house then, Lee, right? That must be a load off of your mind. Hayes, it sounds like you might get your bathroom finished soon. I thought I would lose my mind when the kitchen was being remodeled some. It wasn't a full renovation, and I still thought it went on forever. My next project is the floor in my dining room. I, also, have found a new dining room table and chairs, but I have to get rid of the old ones first. I seriously need to kick my butt on this and get the ball rolling. Lisa, did you see that I received the From Cover to Cover: Evaluating and Reviewing Children's Books book yesterday. I hope to get a good look at it later today.

I got my walk in today! In two parts, but it's a start! :)

I didn't walk today, but I did get an antibiotic from the doctor. It ends up that I have a sinus infection. Makes sense, and luckily I could start my medicine today so that maybe I can walk tomorrow.
I am way excited that football starts tomorrow for us (da Bears), and that the Ravens are on Monday Night Football, yipee! It was disappointing to see the U of M pull out a win today though. Ugh!

Christine, that means the rivalry starts tomorrow as well! (go Packers!). At least this year we can join forces against the Vikings! (or perhaps it is only people from WI who harbor a deep-seated and everlasting dislike of favre) :)

Wow, a lot of posts to read this morning. And, yikes, I'm not a football fan, so I will have to wait patiently for the college basketball season when my passion flares. I, also, like rugby. It's not surprising since I seem to love all things English. Of course, my daughter played rugby for a year and my son-in-law played all 4 years in college. Anybody for a good scrum? My son-in-law was the one lifted up for this. I even caught myself watching rugby on TV the other night. Christine, I'm glad you're feeling better. Paula, what a nice idea, comfort friends. I look forward to getting to know you better. I haven't been around too long, but I love you ladies on here, a great group.
Hey Kathy! We all joined about the same time! I joined about 3 days before you did, and less than a week after Lee started the group. Paula, Christine & I must have been talking football playoffs and Superbowl, since the group wasn't around last Fall! Time flies!! lol

I looked up your all's profile's (except you didn't have your location, I don't think I do either) and I'm only 292 miles from Christine, a little further from Paula at 335. Kentucky's in a rather strange position, kind of Southern, kind of Midwestern.
I am in Ames, Iowa! So I am a bit to the west. You are close to Christine, so we may all have to converge on her house some day. But, after football season!
p.s. The people in the Deep South consider you to be a Northerner, Kathy. While the Northerners believe the opposite!
Kathy, I have a friend who lives in Bloomington, Indiana who considers herself almost southern because she's so close to Kentucky.;-) But, midwest works for me too.
I always feel left out during football season. I've never been a fan and I don't really understand all the fine points of the game. Oh well...
Kathy, I go to Cincinnati a couple times each year. I wonder if you'd be close enough for a visit.
