Thanks, Joy, Gundula, Jeannette, and Brenda, and Christine again. Of course, both Lee and I know that it's you members that are the biggest factor that make this group so successful. We have a wonderful group of people here!!!

Maybe I can get some reading done, thinking about reality is a pain. But, the Jean Little book I'm reading, The Belonging Place is great (I know I should put this in the "currently reading" thread), but I'm too lazy.
Me too, the dream thing (sentences are still not coming together here, haha). I had a weird one where my basement was full of penguins, and I couldn't get any of them to stop waddling long enough to read their collars and figure out where they lived. So I made them peanut butter sandwiches. What does that even mean????

And, I can never find anything, especially books and/or the bathroom (thankfully, that has not lead to any "accidents"). Did the penguins enjoy the PBS (ha,ha)?

Were you watching any type of movie or TV program before going to bed? When I watched Amélie a few days ago, the garden gnome that appeared in the movie somehow ended up in my dream (but, that is the only part of the dream I remembered).
No, I was reading my book for hours before I went to bed. No penguins or spiders were involved. I can't make sense of it.

This one is a doozy, Christine. Penguins with T-shirts that read Hate the Spiders and feeding them peanut butter sandwiches--too, too funny. Thanks for sharing that, Christine.
Christine, What a rich, innovative brain you have. I loved the penguins and the peanut butter!! If you are going to have a dream you remembered, it is best to have an intersting one.

Sounds like the book Mr. Popper's Penguins meets PBJ sandwich meets spiders. It does sound pretty creative.

No penguins this time, but (like her) I was on the show Survivor. I do remember that I brought a toaster with me. Sounds like something I would do.

Once, when I was younger and still lived in Germany, we had watched some Western before going to bed. The next day, we were supposed to drive to Switzerland to go skiing, and I somehow combined downhill skiing with the Western; it was really quite funny, cowboys in full western gear, downhill skiing (this dream happened when I was about eight, and I still remember it vividly, it was so weird and funny).

Good morning, comfies! Got up and shoveled snow for an hour today! Does that count for my power chick workout?

Shoveling snow should definitely count. We finally received some snow here, just a couple of inches so far. The weatherman has been back and forth for the last several days trying to pinpoint when we'd get some. It was very pretty when I took my Abbie dog out for her early morning walk today. She loves the snow.
We've been getting very "dry" snow this winter. At night, all the lawns glitter in the street lights, like a Christmas card.

The snow has stopped and now comes the below zero temps for the next few days. I am staying inside! Mr Dogboy walks out about 4 houses, does his biz, and then drags me home when it gets this cold. Smart animal!

Mr. Dogboy sleeps most of the day (he's 15 now), but he's pretty peppy when it's time for lunch. He hates the cold, but likes snow! :)

I see that all the snow we got on Monday has made its way East. Now it's just cold, with more cold to come. We're gonna make waffles for dinner and stay inside. :)

Oh, by the way, I caught and flagged a spam message in the "romantic suspense" thread this afternoon. Wow, I flagged it, and it was removed by Goodreads within minutes. Kind of sad that this has happened, though, I was hoping this group would be immune from this sort of thing.
Speaking of weird dreams - last night I dreamt that the Mad Men actor Jon Hamm was in my house looking at the bookshelves in my den! I woke up before I could say anything to him - darn!
Next time, don't try to speak, just grab him! lol

Dad's away so we can play! :D And, it's just too dang cold. And, my FIL and my brother both seem to be on the mend, which makes things even better.
