Kathy R's 2010 Book Challenge List

I have read quite a few of his books, Andrea, but I still have many I have not read. He tells a good story, that's for sure!
Kathy, I also have Moloka'i by Alan Brennert on a pile to read soon. I've heard a lot of great things about so I'll be excited when I get to it.

I just loved it, Adrea. I plan on reading Brennert's next book, Honolulu, very soon.

Although this one is a reread, I am counting it in my total for this year, as each time I read it I get more and more from it, like reading a new book. I only wish there were more than 5 stars to give it.

Somehow I didn't add this one in July when I read it. Great just like Shiver!

I might go for 100. I'll probably just see how it goes and not push it. I've gotten caught up in the Agatha Raisin series by M.C. Beaton, and they are really adding to my total. I feel a dissatisfied that so many short books are in my total, but there are lots of others I plan on reading that are much longer, so that will make me feel better.
I know what you mean, but you have to think that you are just counting the story and some are going to be small and some big. As you said, they balance each other out!

Thanks, Andrea, for making me feel a little better about it.

She is an excellent cozy mystery author. The aspect of the Agatha Raisin books that hooked me (besides the main character being in my age bracket of 50's) was that each book rather picked up from where the last one left off in terms of Agatha's relationships with the men in her life. I am on the last one now, with a new one coming out in October. Whew!
Oh wow, that sounds like a great option for me when I finish the Janet Evanovich books. Have you read anything by her? It a similar concept of the writing style. I use them to read between heavy books or when I feel like I'm in a slump and can't muster the umph to read anything that requires a lot of brain activity. I'm going to add M.C. Beaton to my list, thanks for the suggestion!

I haven't read Evanovich yet, but I do have a nonfiction book by her on writing that's quite good. I have enjoyed my little escape into light reading with the Agatha Raisin character. I, also, love Beaton's Hamish Macbeth series, but for some reason I got started in the middle of that series, so sometime I have to go back and pick up the first 12 or 13.
