And I say "almost" for a reason. I say "almost" because there were still two guards left, blocking me from my only escape. And they happened to be the biggest, scariest-looking guys I had ever seen in my entire life.

But that's not all. The last thing is that they were staring straight at me.
I gulped nervously and put my hand to the small dagger at my side. But it was too late. The guards had seen me do so, and their swords were already drawn. Pointed straight at me. I froze. I am doomed.

The slash of a sword danced around my ears, and I braced myself for the pain. Instead, my body seemed to have a mind of it's own as it dodged the sword experientially and ran away from the guards. The guards were not the only ones who stared after me in disbelieving shock; I wore their same expression.

I tumbled into a grassy area and stood still catching my breath.
I pricked my ears for any sounds of approaching guards, but all was silent. That's weird, I thought. Why aren't they pursuing me?

I padded through the forest and found what I was looking for. A small cottage stood out in the side of the woods, looking small and innocent. I opened the window and snuck through, my heart pounding with the heat of my mission.

"Jane?! Jane?! Are you in here?",i cried desperatley.
Silence.
I wondered if I was in the wrong cottage. It seemed right, didn't it? I checked the number. 3342 What number did Jane live in? I sifted through my papers. 3343.
Whoops, I thought with a thrill of fear. Wrong house.
Before I could get out, though, there came a scream, and someone threw something at me. It was too late. I had been spotted.
"You're coming with me to the police right now!" The woman shrieked, dragging me out by the ear. I had to choice but to follow.

The woman looked at me, shocked. She dropped her hand and ran away.
That was weird. Am I that scary? I didn't realize I had changed so much.
I didn't have much time to dwell on it, though. Before the woman could get reinforcements, I ran until her house was out of sight, then I searched for the correct number.

"It's me," I called, my voice slightly hoarse. There was nothing more that I needed to say. She would know who it was.
There was silence for a few seconds. Then I began to hear the sound of her footsteps on the floor above me. I heard a door open somewhere upstairs. A few seconds later, she appeared at the top of the staircase.
It had been a whole year since I had seen Jane. It seemed like even more time than that had gone by. Up until this moment, I had been worrying that she would change. But as soon as I saw her, I knew that she had not changed at all--at least, not on the outside. She was still tall, slender, dressed plainly. Her long dark hair hung in two braids on either side of her face. Her dark eyes looked right at me, filled with an unreadable expression. She gasped.
"Oh my God. What's happened to you?"

I made use of my voice, "I don't know what you mean?"
She stared back at me as it confused.
I only stood there, staring at her in bewilderment. A realization suddenly struck me: she didn't just looked confused. She looked frightened. Frightened of me.
"What's wrong?" I asked her, as anxiety crawled up my spine.
Jane paused, hesitating. "I think you should look in the mirror," she finally said, quietly.

Suddenly nervous, I walked up to the gold-trimmed glass mirror she had up on the wall. I squeezed my eyes shut, opened them...and gasped in shock.
"Do you see?" Jane whispered.
I nodded. "But I'm still the same old George!" I protested. "You don't need to be afraid of me!"

"Honestly, I haven't changed!"
Still she continued to leave.
"I don't...I don't know if...," she began.

She held up a photograph. "Because that's the George I know." She pointed to me.
I took the photo from her.
After studying it, I shook my head. "That's me! This is me! Why can't you understand that, Jane?"

My mouth dropped open. Was this really Jane? "You've changed on the inside, it seems," I said softly. "The real Jane wouldn't question me like this."

I stared at her. "I'll leave."
I turned to go. I was half-expecting her to try to stop me, to tell me she would adjust, to let me stay. But that didn't happen. She let me go.
(Yeah, the main character's a boy. And I'm not exactly sure what time period...)
I reached the door and hesitated one last time, waiting to see if Jane would call me back, apologize, say what a fool she'd been, that of course I could stay home. But she didn't say anything. I looked back, and she was turned away from me, silent. With a pained sigh, I opened the door and stepped out of what had once been my house.

As the door closed behind me, I strained to hear her footsteps coming and welcoming me back, but she did not. Salty tears streamed down my face as I slowly walked away, stinging my cheeks.

(What army??? omg i am so confused. what the heck is going on in this story? it made sense until the army came in...)

well for some strange reason all the planes ran out of gas and landed on all the army destroying them all then i horible earth quake happened and i fell into a giant abbys.
it was at least an hour before i woke up apperently in the other side if the earth in some labortory then i saw this wierd door like structure with swirling colors in it i was so dazed that i stumbled threw and i was spinning for an hour at minumum. when i stumbled out i only remebered one thing it was 1554. ( at the moment
i think the book can be as silly as you want or as serious and real as you want it can drift from fiction to non-fiction from fan-fic to harry potter from a scientist to a knight of king Arthur's court.
i think you get the idea so ill start, but only write one paragraph unless its a dialogue (paragraph 5-8 sentences.)
it was the middle of the knight when i got to the gate the guards werealmost all gone.
