Ah, I loved UNDONE. Maybe even more than the the weather warden series. Maybe cause I like the secondary charicters better. (I'll give you a hint--yum).

Current Books or books on my shelf from the library, or on order:
There are a couple more, but I can't remember them off the top of my head and I am busy watching the dr who marathon so I am not going up. I'll add them later. List partial list gives the idea I am kinda on a sci fi jag right now--with some urban fantasy stirred in to keep it movin.
Shanon, please let me know how The Gargoyle is via audiobook. I read the book and some of the scenes were overwhelmingly graphic. For me the audiobooks make a huge impact when describing intense actions. Excellant book.
Graceling Finished!!!Soulless Finished
Shiver Finished
Poison Study Finished
The Summoning Finished
Dark Time
Carpe Demon Not going to finish!
White Witch, Black Curse
Once a Witch Finished
These are books that I have commited to reading for January group reads, though most probably do not fit with this group. :) I'm using this thread to straighten everything in my head. Thanks Shanon! The Year of the Flood
Vacation
Savage Season
Dhampir
To Reign in Hell
Remnant Population
Shiver
Ever since I first got contracted I've been finding it harder and harder to find time to read. And of course, now that I'm nearing release date I'm also knee deep in promotions. So, I've decided for now to stick with the authors and series I have been most looking forward to. When I have more free time I'll get back to trying new stuff again. And every weekend, I'm determined to read one book. That's my New Year's resolution. I'm about to start a vampire book that I have been eagerly waiting for.:-)

So far (chapter 4) it has been pretty graphic and I've found myself crinkling my nose a lot and wincing. That says a lot since i have a pretty tough stomach! I've wished I could skim over some of the descriptions of pain or suicide like I could with reading - but the way the story is told works VERY well with an audiobook!
Congrats on the upcoming release date Kat! I'm sure you're excited.
YAY for reading Year of the Flood Kathryn! I'm excited to see what you think of it!! It's been a couple days since I finished and I have been finding myself missing the characters.

Shanon wrote: "What did you think of The Drowning City?"At first, I wasn't too into it. I just wanted to hurry up and get done so I could read one of my other library books. But the more I read, the more I liked it. In fact, I'm now planning on continuing with the series. Not sure how many books there are, at least 1 more for sure. It's supposed to come out sometime this year.

Yes and loved it
Pretty good, yet liked the first book in series better.
It is still on my beside
Still on order
I liked this one way more than her Vampire Huntress books.
LOVED IT-- REALLY
I won't be able to finish White Witch, Black Curse in January. I'm a little irritated with the book. I don't like books that are over 550 pages. I read Bone Crossed in two days. Now that book is 287 pages and Patricia Briggs was able to tell a good story.
I remember I had a hard time reading White Witch, Black Curse as well. Not because of the length but there is just SO much that happens in the book that I had a hard time figuring out what the main point was going to be. I also hadn't read the two short stories that were related so that added extra frustration. By the end it was all worth it though.
I don't think I'll give up on White Witch, Black Curse, but the book is going to lay idle for a while. Shanon, I agree that there is so much happening. I don't know whether I like or dislike all the short stories hanging around. If the short stories deny me needed knowledge on an established series, I'm against them. If the short stories adds information on satellite characters, then I enjoy them.

Agreed 100%! I love that Rachel Caine puts her short stories online for both her Morganville Vamp & Weather Warden series. No need to buy/find an anthology for one story. I've read all the Weather Warden and only one is important - but it provides more background info than anything.

I thought it would be fun for us to share our lists, see if anyone is reading the same thing as us or remind each other of new releases that we'll be reading this month.
I'm not sure if this will replace our 'CURRENTLY READING' thread yet or not. We'll see how it goes. That thread is getting HUGE!
