I loved it. I wasn't sure about Mencheres as leading man, but she did really well with him I thought.

Mane Event is one of my favorites. I loved the whole series. I just finished First Drop of Crimson by Jeaniene Frost and enjoyed it. Since I'm going to the mall today, I'm going to stop in at the bookstore to buy the second book.

Jeanine, I am with you Heart of the Wolf was not so great. I think I finished it and tried the second book, I do not think it got better.

Haha, I so agree with you! I hate the covers for the NHW books so far. The ones for the Cat & Bones novels were so much better!

OMG I totally feel you on this audiobook. My mind wandered thru most of it. But I rarely give up a series based on 1st book cause of the world-building. I've been told this series gets better as it progresses, so I'm gonna hang in there.

It's better as a read than a listen too, not that the narrator is bad, but I keep putting this audiobook aside to listen to something else.

I think I liked it more when I read it at 20 than I did at 48. I kept wanting to slap the heroine, she was so mean and thick-headed. Ugh!
