It is a different take on the genre. The slow pace makes it a sweet story. It does seem odd to have the temp noted on each chapter but it relates to the story.

I really liked the different take on the werewolf legends for one. I'm usually not a big fan of werewolf stories other than Patricia Briggs Mercy Thompson & Alpha/Omega books, but this one just reeled me in from the first page. Also, I had a friend like Grace when I was teenager. A girl who was left to her own devices and pretty much raised herself because her parents were so self-absorbed. And Sam just struck a chord with me. I am not a crier, especially over books, but this one made me a cry. And I can't tell you the last time that happened.

I am about 100 pages in and still am not really sure. I do find it is easy to put down and my mind wanders. But there are things that I really like, so it is weird.

It was a strange book. I thought they introduced the comic book angle in a really great way. But I agree that sometimes my mind did wander. I just really liked the concept.
