Darcy,
Let me know what you think of The Dark Storm. I've been thinking about purchasing it and was hoping to get an opinion first!

I ended giving up on that one as well. I got about 125 pages in and the story was very bogged down with setting things up and all the rules. It just felt like it was all info dump. I would read for 10 minutes put it down for 20, read 10 more, down for 20. It just couldn't keep my interest. Might be worth getting from the library to see if you like it, but I wouldn't spent money.

Thanks Darcy! I'll wait and see if I can find it used or from the library later down the road.

I read that and its sooooooo good ;)

I just ordered The Dead Travel Fast. I can't wait to see what you think about it.

Patty if you liked the other Dragon books you will really like this one, although I do have to say I was crying in part of it. Gwendival (sp?) seems to really have met his match!!
I love the JD Robb books on audio, I think the narrator does a great job on them.

I've never read the J.D. Robb books, but keep reading so much good stuff about them that I've ordered the first 5 from PBS. Will probably start the first one later this week.

You're making me want to re-read. lol. I didn't really like the newest book all that much. Maybe I'll go back to the first book :)
I'm not in the mood to read any of the books I have. I don't know why.

I liked the newest one, but the good thing about her writing is the speed, I think the next one is due out in October, not all that long away.

oo you're devious. I never thought about that. Knitting and reading at the same time... :)
I just finished Tempted.. eh it was alright. I kind of just want to know what happens, I'm not really reading it for enjoyment lol.
Up next.. who knows.

And Darcy I totally agree with you on the J.D Robb Audio books.I would rather listen to them then read them the Narrator is great.

Now reading [image error]

My kids would do something like that, it's stressful but funny at the same time when stuff like that happens. but glad you are back, and it's amazing how much you can do when you get off the computer huh. I amaze myself constantly on what I get done how much I get read when i pull myself away from the computer. Dangerous things these machines are I swear lol.

I hate to laugh, but really that's funny. 3.00??? Who knew that would fit.
@Darcy- I've also been straying a bit from the genre, but nothing makes my day better than a nice book from pnr or uf. sigh.

Valorie ~ Let me know what you think of Sunshine, I tried it but couldn't get far into it. It was a group read in a different group and it seemed that book was very polarized.

I hated Sunshine!!!!!!!
Up next for me:

Yeah I've just started it. I'm only a chapter into it but it's not looking good. I'll try and get a few more chapters in and see.

OOOH vampire kisses I loved that series, the books are really short but the series is cute waiting for the next on to come out.
I'm going to be reading stray here in a while it's in my list of books to read.

I have

Any suggestions for which one I should read first?

I've read Three Days to dead, that was good. I disliked Urban Shaman, and Magic to the bone I'm not sure if I read yet. Maybe I read Magic to the blood.

I have

poison study is good. it is very different--I enjoyed it.

It is aimed to the younger audience, but I still found it entertaining in an innocent way. It kept my attention and that's all that matters to me. I am young at heart and sometimes wonder if not mentally as well. :)

Yeah it's the whole part of me that doesn't grow up, and honestly I just enjoy the teen/ YA reads.

ooooohh! I am jealous that you are starting this series. It is one of my favorites and I am sad there is only one more book for me in this series :-( But lucky you...there are 8 more after this one! I hope you like it!

IMHO, what's missing in these books is the total absence of any sexual tension between the 2 main characters.
