Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9510 comments I've finally caught up on posts and/or Marked All Read for groups that I'm way behind on. Now I see the activity is pretty low on all groups I'm a member of and I'm ready to branch out. I clicked on Sandi's profile and saw a group that interested me... Crime and Thrillers (thanks Sandi!) so I joined.

Anyone else have a mystery/thriller related group on Goodreads that they recommend?

Melodie (melodieco) | 3679 comments I belong to a group called Mystery Divas. I got an invitation to join as I knew the gal who started it up from another board. I'm not sure if you still have to be invited or not, but it would probably be a good group for you, Carol. They read a lot of thriller type books and generally things you like. I'll have her send you an invite! I also belong to a nice Cozy Mystery group, which wouldn't interest Carol, but some others might like it. I think Susie is a member. I also belong to several UF/paranormal type groups. They are really active! And a group called Book Lovers which discusses a little of everything. Most of the members of that group are from the UK, so the view points are interesting!

Thanks, Melodie. I think I saw Mystery Divas on Ann's list, and when I looked they were still invitation only.

The other one I mentioned, Crime and Thrillers, also seems to have a fairly solid Brit contingent, which I love.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16982 comments Carol:
I sent Crystal (the moderator) a Goodreads message asking her to invite you to the Mystery Divas group. LOL, she is pretty strict on the rules that only Mystery Thrillers are discussed there. I should have asked her to invite you to the Ultimate Book Club group too. They are VERY prolific!

I got an invite for the Ultimate Book Club. Do they discuss all kinds of books?

Thanks, Ann. Will the invite come to my GR mailbox or my regular email?

Just what I need.. a prolific group. I don't have enough time to read as it is. Be careful what you wish for.

As to the only M/T rule, I guess I can refrain from breaking out into a "Happy Birthday" or "It's Snowing" post, LOL.

Yes, they discuss a broader range of books on The Ultimate Book Club. I can't keep up with them, but do pick and choose from some interesting posts.
For Carol - the invite to this group appeared at the top of the "My Groups" list - if you request to be the moderator's friend (Crystal Craig) you'll probably get an invite to this group too. It won't let me invite you myself unfortunately.

Donnajo | 4355 comments I guess that is Crystal at the read 144 books in 2010 too. When I looked though th other book boards last week I saw a few already closed for new members. I guess that happens. I joined that one plus one for romantic suspense. But I need to get more back into reading mysteries/ thrillers and that type of thing.
