Good luck! I had that goal... but then I finished my novel and started failing on that goal. Lol.
But I was editing! See, you can't write 1,667 words when you're trying to edit because then it's not editing, it's "adding more."
That is true. Editing Reborn took up about half the year … I only finished one book this year. Unless I finish Walking Shadow within the next three days. O_o hehe
Well, I didn't "finish" anything this year. I'm almost kind of sorta done with Shadows, but I need to flesh out teh characters some. I didn't relaly do anything over the summer but delte adverbs.
cool. :) I basically didn't write anything from like January through March >_< I think I was editing Reborn, sort of. Then I wrote Edge from the end of March til like early July. Then I edited Reborn for pretty much the rest of the year … squeezing in a little writing here and there. And then during November-December I've been working on Walking Shadow. :P
Reborn is the one you're trying to publish, right? It only took six months to edit? I envy your devotion.
Yup, Reborn. Ahh … Approximately. Although I must give my mom credit, because she went through the entire thing and took notes on it. She is a kickass editor. So that was very useful … XD

My parents can't read my writing as they're not that good at English and I barely write in Swedish anymore :(
Brigid- so lucky. My mom might do that if I asked, but my writing is too personal. I can give it too all my friends, people I've never met, but not my parents...Annie- aw. I'm sorry. ;-(

Yeah, the Shadows ended at 120,000 words. I'm probably never going to be able to get my friends to read it.

lol. My writing is really personal too, so it's kind of embarrassing. Like, my mom would draw little hearts around the "romantic" parts >_< … except one part that was so terribly corny that she just wrote "EEW'. haha. XD But, like, I can't even be in the same room as my mom when she's reading my books. It makes me feel really weirded out.
Like, the other night, I gave my mom Edge to read and she just like opened it right away and started reading. And I was like, "You're going to read it NOW???!!!" and then like picked up a pillow and put it in front of my face and my mom was like, "Brigid, what the hell?" heh heh …
LOL. I would just leave the room and hide. That's cute, thoug. About the 'eew'. You're lucky. My mom likes editing but I don't think I could give her anything that long to read and comment on.

Yes, I'm Swedish, live in Sweden and speak Swedish :D I'm also blond. Well... usually. I'm "well endowed" too. But short and brown eyed. So not only stereotypic!I've had some disheartening comments from them on my poetry, so I'm a little wary about showing them my writing. It's not really their kind of stories either - I'm more edgy while they like ordinary detective stories, thrillers and biographies.

yours … like the detective stories, thrillers, biographies. :D i write mostly urban fantasy/sci-fi. hehe.
I write edgy modern fantasy/sci-fi vs. my parents who like thrillers, detective stories and biographies.Granted, as fantasy and sci-fi is more settings than genres, I do have thriller and detective traits in my stories. I don't like biographies at all however.

OH! sorry, i got confused. i thought you were saying that YOU liked to write the thriller/detective/biography stuff. haha. sorry. O_o
I'm horrible at that too. Because I'm all for realisticism, and you don't get that in detective stories and thrillers.
I'm just not good with, like, mystery stuff. I would make everything waaay too obvious. XD
Detective and mystery stories are so difficult. I've tried but I never manage to pull off the usual kind. Although, now I really feel challenged to! My biggest problem is that I don't like research, and that makes it difficult to place any story in our own world because people will so bash my head in with all the faults if I get published!

lol Paige were writing the script for Africa during Script Frenzy remember?!?! :D Thanks everyone for the good luck, I'm gonna need it but I am going to do my best to keep up with it.
Anyways I started today on a good note and wrote 2600 words :D However I can't post it because its in a colloborative story I'm doing with a group of writers from here on GOODREADS including Paige :D
When the project is finished and we get the green light I'll post my section for everyone!

It wasn't? I thought I dropped a lot of hints … well, that she was dead, anyway. I just didn't say how. lol.

They are. So I like that she was cheating. Normally dead mothers are... perfect. So yeah.
I have to say I loved the last 12 comments Marisol and Brigid! I had no idea what you were talking about, a story I'm guessing, but it was hilarious :D Good show!
By the way I wrote 2,332 words today. I don't think my mind has really gotten the memo that I want to continually write the SAME story everyday lol! But here is today's random story. Its very...british for me and came out of no where. It feels very Lolita-esque so far in my mind.
-If you don't know what Lolita is, go read it. Its disturbing but the novel is amazing.
Its not the greatest thing in the world, its grammatically terrible and completely out of my comfort zone and again the story blindsided me. And somehow I wrote from the POV of an irish priest-to-be and an english supposed-slut...don't know how that worked out but w/e. let me know what you think.
