Mortal Instruments or Twilight

1 year ago i'd definitely say twilight but today i'd be an idiot if i didn't choose TMI...'cause jace isn't just a pretty face...he has also a dark side which makes him a much more realistic character than the "dreamlike" edward!!^-^

TMI! Didn't even have to think twice on this one. City of bones had me hooked by the first chapter, where as I couldn't even finish Twilight. I'd pick bloodthirsty demons over sparkly-ass vampires any day.

Mortal Insturments!! It's by far the better book. You cant even compare it. It does have everything.

I love both. They are completely different. MI was well written compared to Twilight. I love MI because it has lots of mythical creatures and all the characters matter. I love Twilight because, well, because I love it.

Comparing both is awful. MI is everything, the romance, the characters and most of all, the fantasy. Twilight? Its romance is probably okay, the characters are lame, the fantasy is terrible.

i am one of the srongest opinionated person on the Twilight series and i have read it or lishend to it on audiobook sooooo much i can resite where we are in the bok by just a few words. but i have never loved a book more until i read cassandras books i am so addicted its a little scary and sad. but i dont think ill ever love an autor more than cassandra clare, no matter how much i love the way stepheny meyer writes. the Mortal Instruments series is too amazing.

I read the twilight series 7 times each book...but after I read MI I had too move twilight off the shelf and I havent loved a book this much since I was twelve and read harry potter for the first time.....so deffinetly MORTAL INSTRAMENTS!!!!

Then again, I'm only on book two of the MI series; I've read all the Twilight series. I can tell you I'm liking the Infernal Devices more than Twilight.

Oh Lord. Neither are epic masterpieces, but Mortal Instruments can't make up it's mind as to which of the thousands of young adult books it is trying to copy! It is ALL over the place and extremely inconsistent! Plus, just down right boring and draggy by the last one. At least Twilight was consistent with the nothing that took place in it.

agreed. I don't think I'll be buying the third and fourth book. If I choose to move on, I'm getting the books from the library :/

i think the tmi is more unpredictable and most of the people who read the books saw the movie first so then the read the book and that is why i am making my friends read the first book to see if they like it and if they don;t the don;t have to read the rest of the book. they will have to read the first book to see the first movie
