Why does everyone have to compare everything to Twilight? Harry Potter was compared to Twilight and now TMI is being compared to Twilight. Seriously, why Twilight? How about comparing Harry Potter to TMI instead? There would at least be a competition.

I love The Mortal Instruments, and I love Twilight. Now, but for me the whole OMGEDWARDILOVEHIMANDONLYHIMIAMATRUTWIHARD thing kind of got old fast. I still love Twilight, but I wish it hadn't gotten so big because I lost the fizzle with it. I went to go re-read Twilight and couldn't do it. I just couldn't.


I don't want the Mortal Instruments to get so big because then it would somehow lose its fizzle for me. Plus, I love rereading the Mortal Instruments over and over again. :)

I believe Twilight got only as big as this after the movie. I mean I bet there are thousands of readers of Twilight but the same also goes to TMI. It's just that the movie showed how big the supporters of Twilight are plus the movie added more to its readers.

So basically, I think the same will happen to TMI. I just hope the success that the movies of TMI will exhibit will be a lot better than Twilight and more on the caliber of the HP movies (or even way better than that).

Yes, you have a point there Cassandra! I guess if the MI do become really popular and big, then they would soon fizzle out until no one cares about them anymore. At first there were a lot of Twilight lovers, but then along came the haters who got sick of it, and I really hope that doesn't happen to MI!

I used to think that Twilight was really the best YA book I've read but Mortal Instruments sure did change that! I am so inlove with this series. Jace is one of a kind! ^_______^ I LOVE YOU JACE!!!!!!

Okay so I would definetly pick MI's they are so much better. There is more action but, there is still romance within the book itself. Twilight on the otherhand does not have as much action and is all about teen angst and having a boyfriend. I think Cassandra Clare can do better love stories in one chapter than Stephanie Meyer did in the whole Twilight book.
