Betsy (ebburtis) | 1291 comments Started And After Many Days. Got it as an uncorrected e-book from someplace and I can't remember where. It was a site where you earn points and you can then use the points to "buy" a guaranteed early release or use the points to put in an entry into a drawing. Sound familiar to anyone?

I know I owe everyone a poll. I got the latest magazine, but put it somewhere in my house and haven't unearthed it yet. Soon - promise!

Betsy (ebburtis) | 1291 comments I'm listening to The Third Plate: Field Notes on the Future of Food by Dan Barber. Barber is the chef/owner of Blue Hill in NYC and Blue Hill at Stone Barns in upstate NY. I'm a huge foodie and tried to get into Blue Hill last time I was in NYC, but the wait for reservations is long. I've settled for reading the book which is quite interesting.

Mary (puzzleress) | 12 comments I'm reading a book called The Abbey. Written by a Jesuit priest I've seen posts by on Facebook. It takes place in the Philadelphia area, my hometown, so that adds to its charm for me. It's religious without preaching. Liking it so far.

Seems to be. I heard the author talk at the Tucson Festival of Books. She was good there. Enjoying the book very much, so far.

Betsy (ebburtis) | 1291 comments I finished both my audio and paper book that I had going. I love picking the next book! I should finish one of the few I already have going, but probably won't. I think I'll be listening to Did You Ever Have a Family

message 2742: by Betsy (new)

Betsy (ebburtis) | 1291 comments My choice has been made. Drum roll please...I decided to read The Grand Sophy by Georgette Heyer. She is supposedly the First Lady of the Regency Romance subgenre and I've never read any of her books. This one gets good ratings here on Goodreads and sounds like a lot of fun.

I liked Inside the O'Briens better than "Alice" and haven't read Love Anthony. Left Neglected was good, too.
