I'm reading
as I last read it, and very quickly, in high school. Also I'm reading an ARC of
which is a YA story due to come out in January. It's set in Haiti.
I've started
which is non-fiction. I've had it on my shelf a looooonnnnnng time and am finally get around to reading it. So far it's good.

He's such a great writer. Unfortunately, I'm putting him aside and changing gears one more time. Last night my new book group picked the selections for the year and
is up for September, so I need to get that read before I continue with Stegner.
Betsy, have you read
? I haven't read any Stegner but was told that this book was a good one with which to start.
Sera wrote: "Betsy, have you read

I started listening to

I haven't done much reading in the last week. I'm busy painting all the rooms in the house (had my daughter come over the last 3 days to help). I am, however, a couple dozen chapters into
now. I needed something I could pick up and put down as I had breaks from painting :)
Just read the summary of the book--wow, sounds really complicated but fun. Will have to try at the beginning of the series, but right now have too many already started.

It has a complicated list of characters, with all the running around between different centuries.
I finally came to the top of the wait list for
and started last night. Maybe I'll finally be able to join the discussion of the book during the actual month it's being discussed! The story sure does pull you in immediately.
I just started
yesterday and am about 1/4 of the way into it. I'm a bit apprehensive as it seems people either love it or discard it. So far it has certainly grabbed my attention.

I started
on audio, when
came in from the library so I switched over to that one. I am also reading
, which is pretty good so far.
I also have 3 going at the moment:
, graphic novel, non-fiction
, historical fiction
, fantasy, which my daughter insists I read :)

I really enjoyed it, Betsy. Nancy Turner seems to have done a lot of research to get the history correct. This second one is set in 1906.
Just picked up two 14 day reads from the library. I am just starting
. Looks like a quirky, fun read to check out. After that I hope to start
. "So many books, so little time" - Frank Zappa...
Linda wrote: "
and I'm hooked."I added that one to my TBR list. Looks interesting.
Today I'm starting a YA,
and one for a challenge,
.
What did you think of We Were Liars? I thought that it good, but ended up just ok with it.I am loving The Other Typist, Teresa. It's very interesting, and excellent on audio.
I started
. I had started it in audio and for some reason it wasn't grabbing me. A friend told me I had to read it so she'd have someone to discuss it with. I was finally able to get it out of the library, and this time it immediately hooked me.
