I loved, loved, loved this book. It's being marketed as a romance but I think that does it a disservice. Will be interested to hear your thoughts.

I see this one getting much good press. It looked like a romance to me, which is why I have avoided it.

Robin P I recently read Half of a Yellow Sun for a book club discussion that will be next week. Good introduction for a country I didn't know much about, I thought there was a good combination of personal story and national history.

message 1780: by LynnB (new)

LynnB I'm now reading Chris Bohjalian's The Sandcastle Girls by Chris Bohjalian which is turning out to be different than I had expected. It's an intense book in many ways, following several people during the Turkish genocide of the Armenians in about 1915. So far I think it's going to be a 4 or 5 star read for me.

I've also just started The Snowman (Harry Hole, #7) by Jo Nesbø by Jo Nesbø which is part of a series (#6 or 7, I believe).

So far, I've read the cover! I'm intrigued. People either rave about it or give it an "eh". It's also been compared to Defending Jacob by William Landay which I really liked.
