Finally got The Snowman by Jo Nesbo from the library. Starting it tonight even though I'm already in the middle of another book. Really looking forward to reading this!
I just started
. Many nice animal pictures put in this book. The subject matter seemed interesting to me.
I'm now reading
by David Michaelis -- my son suggested it and it truly is well-written, like a narrative, and fascinating.
As the year draws to a close I felt it was appropriate to end the year with
, based on the title and not the content of this story.

I just finished this one myself.

I was just barely started with
(which seems a slow go - I am 25% done) when
became available from my library e-book holds last night, so I have dived into that instead.

Thanks, Katz! I haven't started it yet, but I am looking forward to it. Interesting how it's become a sort of "love it" or "hate it" kind of book. I can see which camp you are in :)

And it's a long book too - I think it's 500 pages? Or 400-something? The best WWII book I have read recently was The Invisible Bridge.
I picked up
tonight. Can't remember how it got on my pile. Did Bookmarks or someone here recommend it?

How did you like it? I really liked it and it had me looking back for clues in the story as this mystery on aging, memory, and life, in general, came to a close. Lots of interesting things to reflect on. I thought it was a great book to end the year on. Any thoughts you would like to share I would love to hear them.
I started
for my F2F book group and also
on audio. I like a good conspiracy theory and I've long believed the health insurance companies are evil incarnate.
Pillars is one of my favorite books. I guess it gets critically panned, but I really enjoyed it. I've read it twice!

Just started
I think it is going to be a good read. I have been reading Stieg Larsson and Henning Mankell a lot, so think this will be just as good.
- abandoned about 1/3 of the way through. I knew it wasn't for me when I felt I had been absolutely slogging through it and was only on page 80 or so out of under 300 pages.I seem to be having trouble finding anything to my liking in 2012!
