In the UK, the Uk arm of Borders is having a closing down sale (Borders UK is totally different and independant from Borders US, so do not worry about your US stores). I bought about 8 books with 40% off at the weekend.

I tried to make it as clear as possible about the fact that the UK and US Borders are related in name only. I'd be will annoyed if it were the US borders. I like going there when I'm on vacation.
I am a loyal borders customer.. The one by my job they know me by name and the worst part is that they offered me a part time seasonal job. I was considering it being you get to borrow books and you get a discount. But I thought that would just be feeding my habit a little to much.
The security guard and staff in the Starbucks at my local Borders know me well too - I'm in there twice a week :)

They have 75% off offers on as well. I might go back...
