Cold Mountain

I haven't read the book, but I've heard a great deal about it. Mixed reviews, but the people that loved it really loved it.

What didn't you like about the end?

(I probably won't attempt it, it's not my preferred genre...)

When I read this I had just watched "O Brother Where Art Thou"--so I felt kind of burned out on re-writes of the "Odyssey."

I was simply traumatized by a few scenes in the movie as well. I also found the costuming in the movie to be laughable--like an Eddie Bauer catalogue when in reality the women were starving to death.
