I love House so very much. He's snarky, cranky, bastardly, lonely, sad, in pain, beautiful. Hugh Laurie is awesome. I also love Cuddy! And Wilson.

I *was not* going to get hooked on House because I watch entirely too much TV and I could not imagine Hugh Laurie as anything but the wonderful British gentleman he is.Then...I started watching it with my daughter and her friends at the end of last season. Ugh! I'm hooked!! I'm catching up on DVDs.
Sometimes it gets really farfatched but I still enjoy it because the characters are so great. And I miss Cutthroat bitch.
Such a brilliant show. I too began watching late in the series, but was riveted to it because of House's bitter, acerbic humor. He says what we often wish we could say. Seriously after some quip House makes I find myself with huge eyes saying, "He did NOT!!" That alone makes it an engrossing show, but then I like how he solves problems (diagnoses)... it's an interesting process with never a dull conclusion. I must say that this season has been outstanding! I loved the selection process with all the competitors! It opened it up to a whole new arena of wit and rancor. This is one addicting show!
Oh, and Cutthroat Bitch is back, remember!
House begins again next week with 4 new episodes to finish out the season. I have not missed one ever. He is terribly addictive. Cutthroat Bitch is back as Wilson's girlfriend.....Cheers.
This is a great show.....no one does sarcasm like House! I love that he does what he wants when he wants.....that's how life should be....who needs RULES?? LOL
The premier was great. I'm just wondering how much longer we can expect it to last. If anyone has the time they should check out ReGenesis, the main guy on that is like a Canadian House.
I love the new semi-friendship they're developing with house and the P.I. guy. Their scenes together always crack me up. I like them better than House and Wilson. I just wish they hook House and Cuddy up already. I'd love to see those two hook up for awhile.
Hugh Laurie is genious as House!!! I love his snark!!! It also cracks me up that there are like 3 illnesses that inevitably come up in every episode as possible candidates to cure... I also work in generic phamaceutical manufacturing so I get a kick out of recognizing drug names.I have loved this show since the beginning, but it got shaky for me last season with the whole competition thing and missing the 3 original doctors, but I hung on... and it was ok...
This season, they have officially lost me... I have to say, the death of Cutthroat Bitch and Wilson's temper tantrum did me in. I DID love the PI guy... IF they had more of him/House, I might have stuck in there with it... but I think for now, I will just let it go and catch up on here or when the season comes out on DVD.
The House/Cuddy tension is fantastic. Tonight's episode made me hurt for Cuddy. I can't wait to see how this whole thing is resolved.
Me either Lynn.....even my boyfriend was staring at the screen waiting to see what he'd do.......and then we both exploded in laughter over the "it seemed like the next thing to do" remark!!
lol That was a pretty awesome scene. I kinda thought he was going to pull her towards him when he stopped her. *sigh* But he didn't, damn him. Truthfully, I can see myself being pleased whichever way they take this relationship as long as it's done right. I can't see House in a long term relationship with Cuddy; he may love her, but he's not ready to be loved. He'll only sabotage himself & hurt her. But I'm excited about it anyway, just to see if they pull it off. :)I love this show so much. I was on YouTube til 2am last night watching fan-made House/Cuddy videos. Instead of working on my take home finals. *rolls eyes* I swear, it's almost as bad as my Supernatural obsession. . .
LOL....I love it too! I agree with you though. i don't see this being a long-term thing. I'm really anxious to see where they go with this. Maybe they'll just keep us guessing for awhile........
I love the last episode when Number 13 and Formen kissed! OMG! I also like the tesion of House,Cuddy thing. I still can't believe that Cuddy got the baby she always wanted.

I love it when a child patient can get to him and he tries so hard to cover it up. As far as the House, Cuddy thing hummmmm, I really can't see that going anywhere. I don't think he's in love with her I think it's more of a he can't stand not to be able to figure her out. lol What I would really like to see is they finally give poor Wilson a lasting relationship. He really deserves one. lol I'm not sure where the Foreman, 13 thing is headed. unless they are fixing to do a plot about him being in love with her makes him want to dedicate his time to the disease. A fight against time plot. hummmmm, maybe.
Yall have a good night

I agree! I'm also watching it right now, it's back on! Gotta Go!
I think Cuddy's baby should stay, but it would be interesting if the baby left.
Something's going to happen with that baby. Either the birthfather is going to come back to get her or the birth grandparents are going to object... It'll be SOMETHING.
Yeah, but the father couldn't get the baby because he is still in High School. BUT I can't wait to see the next episode!
I've only watched the first season. I have the next few season on DVD borrowed from a friend. I really have to back to it.I love House. He's so rude and obnoxious and utterly truthful. And he makes me laugh. I think they would have done better to allow him to keep his natural British accent. Rude and obnoxious sounds so much better with a British accent. lol
Lisa Edelstein on House's Uncertain Future: 'Nobody Wants to See it Go Off the Air'from TVLine by Megan Masters
It’s no secret that a budgetary battle is being waged between Fox and NBC Universal over a possible eighth season of House. But that’s not stopping Lisa Edelstein from feeling bullish about the show’s future.
“Nobody at work seems to think it won’t [return],” she tells TVLine. “Everybody wants to come to a deal, and I certainly am looking forward to a Season 8.
“I don’t think anybody wants to see [House] go off the air,” she continues. “It’s a big show for Fox and for NBC Universal, so it’s just a matter of everybody dotting their I’s and crossing their T’s.”
If this does turn out to be House‘s final season, the show is going out with guns blazing. Monday’s groundbreaking episode “Bombshells” is proof of that. ”There’s some great creativity going on, things you’ve never seen before,” Edelstein gushes of the can’t-miss hour. “It’s really exciting. I love episode 15, I’m very excited about it. There are some fantasy sequences which are really different.”
I think I'd miss House if it goes off the air, since it's the only medical drama I've ever really enjoyed. Though I think something else can be done to make it a bit more lively, if it's in danger of cancellation (which I didn't know until reading this thread). House himself seems somehow tired, a little repetitive sometimes in how he treats others, and I think it's the supporting cast that keeps everything moving now. Maybe House could get married or something ...I don't know.
Hugh Laurie: House's Eighth Season May Be My LastCredit: Art Streiber/FOX
Wednesday – May 11, 2011 – 10:17am
While fans celebrate House's season 8 pickup, the show's star, Hugh Laurie, admits he may be hanging up his stethoscope at the end of next year.
"The end of that [eighth] season looks like the end of the show," Laurie reportedly told the U.K.'s Radio Times (via the New York Post). "That's as far as they've got me for."
Appearing as cranky but brilliant doc Gregory House on the long-running Fox medical drama has no doubt been taxing on the British actor, 51.
"Doing weekly TV is like joining the Navy and going on the other side of the world for 10 months of the year," the two-time Golden Globe winner told Parade magazine. "But the truth is that whatever challenging situation you're in, somebody somewhere has got a much more extreme version. So I think one ought to shut up and not moan about it."
While a show source tells The Post "it's premature to speculate beyond season 8," Laurie, who earns a reported $400,000 per episode, has already planned his exit strategy.
"We don't talk about when we'll pack it in," Laurie, who will soon release a blues album, Let Them Talk, says. "When the time comes, I think it would be good to have sort of a clean finish rather than just sort [of] trailing off. I'd like to go out with a bang, not a whimper."
House Shocker: A 'Disappointed' Lisa Edelstein Calls It Quitsfrom TVLine by Michael Ausiello
House fandom, brace for impact: Dr. Cuddy is checking out.
Lisa Edelstein — whose long-term contract expires this month — has opted not to return for the show’s eighth and likely final season.
In a statement, the actress says, “After much consideration, I am moving onward with a combination of disappointment at leaving behind a character I have loved playing for seven years and excitement of the new opportunities in acting and producing that lie ahead.”
Fox and NBC Universal declined to comment.
Back in March — when the future of House itself was up in the air — Edelstein told TVLine, “Nobody at work seems to think it won’t [return]. Everybody wants to come to a deal, and I certainly am looking forward to a Season 8.”
In an interview last week with BlogCritics.org, exec producer Katie Jacobs said she would “not rest” until Edelstein was on board for an eighth season. “Lisa is such a valuable member [of the cast],” she said. “I challenge any other actress on TV to do what she does seemingly effortlessly. She goes between drama, comedy, intelligence, sex appeal… It’s certainly not my plan or David’s plan or the creative team’s plan to not have Lisa in the show.”
There’s talk Edelstein was a victim of belt-tightening at the show. In the aforementioned interview, Jacobs acknowledged that, “For seven seasons we managed to avoid getting the phone call to make cuts in our budget. But now we’re getting that call.” Perhaps she rejected a low-ball offer — hence her disappointment?
Earlier this month, Edelstein’s costars Robert Sean Leonard and Omar Epps inked new deals to return to the show. Hugh Laurie, Olivia Wilde and Peter Jacobson were already contracted for the recrently-greenlit Season 8, leaving Jesse Spencer as the only remaining question mark.
The news comes a week before the show’s current season — arguably Edelstein’s meatiest yet — comes to a close. It’s unclear if the finale sets the stage for a possible Cuddy departure, but that seems highly unlikely.
House Adds Brothers & Sisters' Odette Annable To The Teamfrom TVLine by Michael Ausiello
Coming soon to Princeton-Plainsboro: Fresh meat for House!
As first scooped by our sister site Deadline.com, Brothers & Sisters and Breaking In head-turner Odette Annable is joining House this fall as a series regular.
Annable — the real-life wife of B&S alum Dave Annable — will play someone that House meets while behind bars as the season opens, and ultimately the newest member of Dr. Crankypants’ team, thus filling the void left by both Amber Tamblyn and Olivia Wilde (who’s returning this fall but only for a brief stint).
This is one of two major new roles the Fox hit is adding to its Season 8 ranks. The show is also searching for an actress to succeed Lisa Edelstein as the new Dean of Medicine.
I'm on Season 6 now. Cameron just left.House is so miserable that he can be funny. But I really dislike how he treats Wilson. I think Wilson is an idiot for putting up with it.
Wilson is the straight guy to House's wackiness... he puts up with a lot but he also dishes it out too. More so in the later seasons... especially this last one. He's House's voice of reason really. House uses Wilson as his conscience IMO.
Yes, because House doesn't have a conscience of his own, lolAnd Wilson's role serves himself also, he's the consummate caretaker.
House Exclusive: Princeton-Plainsboro's New Dean of Medicine Will Be… [Major Spoiler Alert]!(view spoiler)
Talk about burying the lead. In my House preview story earlier this week, series creator David Shore told me that Season 8 “will start months after Season 7.” What he neglected to reveal was how many months the show would be jumping forward: Twelve! As in an entire year, people.
Shore dropped the bombshell on me Friday night at Fox’s oceanfront press tour party in Malibu.
“The advantage of going forward a year is that everything’s changed,” he revealed, “and changed dramatically. ”
And how.
Among the major developments (if you haven’t already heard): House is in prison, serving a sentence for inflicting carmageddon on Cuddy’s house; there’s a new Dean of Medicine, and he/she is someone viewers know well; and House’s diagnostics team has undergone a facelift.
The big leap also gives House — and Princeton-Plainsboro — time to adjust to life after Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein). “I think it’s a smart idea [in light of the fact that] Lisa left the show,” noted co-star Jesse Spencer. “I think it was kind of necessary to do that. If we picked up right where we left off and Cuddy wasn’t there it [would be strange].”
With Terra Nova wrapping its freshman run on Dec. 19, House moves to Mondays at 8 starting Jan. 23I've also heard this is Hugh Laurie's last season doing the show
My mom loves this show & I never watched it until recently. I've seen about 3 episodes and really like it! Love the interaction between House's team and himself. I'm glad I gave it a try!
It's been on a long time. As much as I've enjoyed it, I won't be crying if it goes off the air. I'm more interested to know if Terra Nova will get another season.
House hasn't been the same as it used to be the last few seasons so I'm cool with it being the last one..... I miss the first seasons. They were so good. Trixiekitten, rent the seasons and watch it from the beginning. It's worth it!
I agree. The original team was the best. And now with Cuddy gone, it just isn't the same. I liked it better when Foreman was on the team and not DoM.
I don't understand why they made Foreman Dean of Medicine. Wasn't it not that long ago that he was unemployable because of his contact with House? I can't stand when a show's writers seem to forget what came before. I get that Cuddy left, OK, so get a new castmember, or have Wilson fill the position since he's never been tainted by House. It just doesn't make any sense and it's a joke to see Foreman abide by, and enforce, the rules. He's just as much a renegade as House is. I'm half tempted to drop this show. The only reason I don't is because of the cool diagnoses. Oh, and I don't like Park.
