I have the scenes that introduce my primary characters in Homecoming on line, as well as a cast of characters and a glossary that is growing with daily entries on my blog which are transferred to my website and my blog here. This week's an exception: I'm blogging on the Summer Arts Festival Creative Writing class, giving class assignments and prompts and encouraging class members to post their writings as comments. My book website is http://www.sueannbowling.com and blog http://homecomingbook.wordpress.com/Homecoming
And don't ask me what that last bit of gibberish is, except it is messing up the link to my blog. It should be http://homecomingbook.wordpress.com/

Hi all! Nice to meet everyone!I'm Kriss Perras Running Waters. I'm a science fiction author/screnwriter. I am currently working on a series of four books: 300 Nights (published), Fard Ayn, Exile and Holo. 300 Nights preview site is here: http://novel.300-nights.com .
I currently own the independent story development and film production company Running Waters Productions. I am the previous Publisher and Editor of Malibu Arts Journal and PCH Press (Malibu's daily newspaper) and am a 2002 member of the prestigious American National Honor Society Who's Who in American Universities and Colleges. 300 Nights marks my first novel in the saga of four science fiction books. I am not new to the industry. I previously worked for a well-known development firm in Hollywood where I learned the craft of story development, a trade I enjoy and find highly gratifying. So I am a screenwriter, author and director. Plus I love photography. I had the privildge of being a showcased artist on the CMTV Chanel 14 Artists Showcase in my area for photographers. I also love poetry.
Again nice to meet everyone,

OOO! You book sounds good, Dan. I like books about WWII. One of my favorite authors is Alistair McLean. Just one question, how explicit in language do you get?
Alistair McLean! I love his books! I think I probably reread them all every couple years or so... great, fun stuff.
I NEVER get tired of reading MacLean. (I spelled it wrong originally) HMS Ulysses & San Andreas are tied for my favorite of his books.
Of course Where Eagles Dare is a great movie. And he did the screenplay, which is why it's so faithful to the book.

My wife found a complete set of his books (paperback, of course) at a thrift store a couple years ago. They're all tidily sitting on my shelf. He's a wonderful storyteller. HMS Ulysses is great. I like Puppet on a Chain a lot too. Have you ever read Desmond Bagley? He reminds me a lot of AM. The Golden Keel. Fabulous book.
No, I haven't, but I'll keep an eye out for him. Thanks.
Hi there:Here's an interview with Daniel H. Wilson, author of "Where's My Jetpack?" "A Boy and His Bot" and "Robopocalypse," which is due this summer and has been picked up by Steven Spielberg for 2013. I like the part where he talks about leaving his career as a Ph.D in robotics behind for being a writer! Just thought the folks here would find it of interest.

Shawn wrote: "OOO! You book sounds good, Dan. I like books about WWII. One of my favorite authors is Alistair McLean. Just one question, how explicit in language do you get?"Shawn, most of the language is what we see in older movies, "fiddle sticks." I remember one of the critiques about SAVING PRIVATE RYAN was that one of the vets said they didn't curse as much as the movie portrayed.
The book I'm working on now with modern day marines is much more colorful.

Thanks, Dan. I have many of his books and the movie.:)
As for cursing, I was an army medic and EMS in the late 70s to early 80s - and I agree with the WW II vet, there wasn't as much cussing as is portrayed today.

Hi Shawn,As an ex soldier, albeit with a different army, I would take my hat off to you, but I never wear one, so I'll throw a sloppy salute to you. I have nothing but admiration for all who followed your calling as they did a pretty good job putting me, and several of my friends back together when things didn't quite go as planned.
Respect to you, and your colleagues.
