What is most tossed?

I just read the hall of fame and didn't understand that category. Doomsday Book is my all time favorite book so I wanted to know.

"Most Tossed" is for books that got the most votes for "Tossed it" - meaning "gave up on the book before finishing it". Doomsday Book is a controversial one - it seems like many people loved it, and many people tossed it.

wow! Thanks Stefan. I can see that my tastes are probably a little divergent from the majority as some of the books on the best list are in my ho-hum category or even from authors who I have on my "don't read this author list". I'm going to read all the books that were voted for for several months if I haven't already read them and see how it goes. After my trial period I may give up on reading the fantasy ones as it is really the sci-fi I like.

A lot of my favourites are on the Most Tossed or Burned Book lists, and in the Hall of Shame. It's okay, makes for more interesting discussions! :)

I actually liked the book, but for some reason I just stopped reading about 30-50 pages before the end and never finished. So I guess I technically "tossed" it, but it wasn't because I didn't like it. No idea why I stopped.

yes I think a little bakc and forth does make for a more interesting discussion and can help you see aspects (both good and bad) that you didn't see before.
