Kellee Moye (kelleemoye) I have a question,
if I finish reading a book that is part of a challenge (like 1 out of 3 books needed for the points), can I still post under the points section to post the page number total? Or should I wait until there are points to report as well?

Eve, for 1.05 it has to be a discussion thread with less than 50 posts I believe. I think the Hunger Games has more than that... Just making sure you knew. You could use Hunger Games as the 5 star book (I gave it five stars as I am sure many people did...)

Eve | 18 comments oh, thanks Kellee, i read it wrong (thought that there had to be more than 50 post, not less :$)

Kellee, you can do either, although I must admit that it is much easier for me to register a completed task on the sheet. But I don't have a problem either way.

Happy Reading!

Kellee Moye (kelleemoye) For the ones where you have to post reviews, where do you post?

Thanks for all the help :)

message 108: by Lydia (new)

Lydia (loverofinformation) | 596 comments Kellee, you can use your review of the book and just include a link or you can post it to the points board or to a board in the genre section. Your choice.

Jennifer (JenJen1221) | 623 comments Thanks for posting that Lydia : )

Angela Sunshine (angelasunshine) I Heart You, You Haunt Me would also work for 3.15, as it is written in verse. It's 227 pages, but could easily be read in a day if you have a couple of spare hours. It's cute, nothing spectacular, but a decent read.

Lydia, can I start a discussion post for task 1.5? The book I was thinking of using currently doesn't have a discussion topic. If not, I can fit it in elsewhere.

Lydia (loverofinformation) | 596 comments I'm not sure I understand, Jennifer. Task 1.05 asks you to read a book that is listed within a genre but doesn't hsve 50 posts. So, you should be able to add to the discussion. Is that the task you are referring to?

Yes, but the book I want to read doesn't have a discussion going yet. It's The Complete Persepolis which is a graphic novel, but no one has started talking about it. Can I start a discussion topic, or would that be cheating?

message 115: by Lydia (new)

Lydia (loverofinformation) | 596 comments For 1.05, the book should be one that has an existing discussion thread. Check again to see if your book isn't discussed somewhere on the board.

message 116: by Angela Sunshine (new)

Angela Sunshine (angelasunshine) Lydia, would you consider Dark Tower: The Fall Of Gilead Premiere HC to be YA? I can't tell, and I tried to check with the Los Angeles public library, but they catalog comics in their own area. I tried to see how Maus I/II are cataloged, and they don't come up as YA either but I know we count them here. What do you think?

message 117: by Lydia (new)

Lydia (loverofinformation) | 596 comments Angela, from what I can tell this is considered adult, but there really is not section of "adult graphic" I can find. Let's just say yes and if someone can make an argument as to why it is not, then you and I may be able to accept that.

message 118: by Angela Sunshine (new)

Angela Sunshine (angelasunshine) Thanks Lydia, that sounds good.

Angela Sunshine (angelasunshine) I was just searching online to find a good book to movie for the 50 pointer, and found these websites. Pretty decent lists!
