SARA NICOLE'S TASK - A GAME OF CLUE
Sara, will you take That Old Cape Magic
?I was thinking for white, and then when I looked at the library, all the words on the front are all the other game piece colors. What are your thoughts?

Those all look great!
Cait wrote: "Sorry, I got carried away! :o) They just looked so pretty, lol."
Oh, I won't deny that! I love covers!

as yellow/mustard/sorta goldish... Or book 6
for green.

I can just picture you cutting out coupons and someone interrupting you, and then you erupting... ;) Kidding...
But sort-of-seriously, I just read To Kill a Mockingbird, and there's that whole story about Boo Radley making a collage, cutting pictures out of newspapers or magazines, stabbing his dad with the scissors, then going back to collaging...

For white? Yes.
Tara wrote: "Will this work for blue or is there too much gold?
" It has a lot of blue, but when I look at it, "IT'S BLUE!" isn't the thought that comes to mind, you know? Maybe it seems like a weird call, but I'd take
for red, if you can get your hands on THAT version of the book...
Diane wrote: "Would a "fist" count as a weapon?"I knew I skipped one... What book are you thinking of? I think I'd like to know before I decide... (Is that weird?)
Helen wrote: "And Hatchet for the weapon?"
Thank you Helen! My husband has been begging me to read Hatchet (it was one of his favorites when he was younger). I think I'll read that for this task and stick Time's Arrow somewhere else.
Do we actual;ly have to read a book per color and per weapon and per place or do you just want the title of the book?
You need to read ONE book that has a cover that is predominantly red, blue, yellow, green, purple, OR white.AND
You need to read ONE book that has the name of a weapon in the title (any weapon, not just one of the six in the game.
AND
For the places, ONE of the above books you read should be from a library. (This can include your PERSONAL library, meaning it can be a book you already own.)
So in total, read 2 books, one of which should be from a library. Does that help?

No Fist Is Big Enough to Hide the Sky. It is about war and liberation in an African country.
There is a graphic novel (Part of the 100 Bullets series) called Strychnine Lives. I'm not going to read it because it sounds waaaay more violent than I want to read, but I'm just mentioning it in case someone else is interested.
Cindy wrote: "Would any of these do??Blue

"Yes to both. I see a monkey theme here...

Thanks for that! I was like, "How do you spell that one poison that they mention in Anne or Green Gables that that one girl put in the family's well..." And that's the one!

WOW. That sounds intense. Sure... go for it!

would work for white? "Definitely

Is this OK for green? Great task!"I REALLY can't tell what color that is... On Amazon, it almost looks dark yellow... Or possibly brown.... If you can't find another book to read, you could probably twist my arm...
Sara, did you see on this website that there are a bunch of lists on the listopia section that have books by the color? I didn't know if you knew about it, I saw it this am. By the way LOVE this task!!
I did NOT know that.... Well, I knew about the purple one, but didn't know there were others. I'll look and see if I can find those lists...
Here are some color lists: (NOTE: Not all of these would work, but it's good for ideas...)

(And just because it's fun:)

I own this book. It's definitely green...kind of like an army green or the color of a fern. It looks a bit washed out in the online image. I just wasn't sure if you would object to the size of the title and crossed arms.
Sara ♥ wrote: "I did NOT know that.... Well, I knew about the purple one, but didn't know there were others. I'll look and see if I can find those lists..."Glad to have found them by accitdent then! I thought it would help you with deciding too ;-)
*giggles at Sara* I JUST saw the Yellowest List and was going to post here! YOU BEAT ME!!Awesome on the white. A friend keeps elbowing me to read it. I haven't since it's outside my norm genre :P
Would this work? It's mainly purple with some blue. It's hard to tell from the cover art shown here though....

I keep picking it up at the library, so I guess it is meant for me to read ;-)
Krista wrote: "

Some possibles from my library in case people are still looking (and just because it's fun to look at covers :)
I think I'll read
I'm listening to this one on audio now and just realized it might work:
-- is that white enough? Also, I'm assuming plurals of weapon words are okay? So I could use Knives at Dawn America's Quest for Culinary Glory at the Legendary Bocuse d'Or Competition to count for "knife"?

Yes and yes!
RED:
COLONEL MUSTARD:
Between the Assassinations is more mustard-colored than yellow, would that work?
Yes to Joy Luck Club. I'm gonna say no to Between the Assassinations, because the words and designs take up so much of the cover...

Okay, GREAT thanks! I'll go with the white cover option then. :-)
Is this one white enough? I swear it looks more white on my bookshelf than it does in this picture. :) Totally your call though, Sara.
