For 10 years after my meningioma was removed, I had a yearly MRI. Xanax annd a blindfold helped considerably. And holdinong myself so I couldn't feel myself slide into the tibe. Anything to psych myself out that I was Not actually in there helped.

message 158: by Carol (new)

Carol | 10410 comments I used self hypnosis to help with the discomfort of the MRI. It was so successful, I fell asleep.

Joanne (bonfiggi) I'm so happy, I just want to say that the ugly lump I had removed several days ago was not malignant. Hellish waiting to find out though.

Happy for you, Joanne. Waiting with you, Richard.

message 163: by Joanne (new)

Joanne (bonfiggi) Hey Richard, I worried about putting my info on your thread, but I had a feeling you wouldn't mind. I'm hoping you get good news as soon as possible.

message 164: by Joanne (new)

Joanne (bonfiggi) Wishing you the best Richard, sorry you have to wait for results.

Like the old Word Association and Kitchen Sink Chat threads, this thread (maybe all of the Stream of Consciousness ones, who knows) doesn't seem to show it when a "new" post is made. Instead, it just lifts to the top without the red "one new."

I don't think they're used enough to merit it. When you click them, they take you to Post One. So you click "newest" and it takes you here. That's not TOO taxing, I don't think....

Joanne (bonfiggi) Hurray Richard, good riddance to The Thing. I wish I could join you for the hot dog. XXX
