"Probably not." Zach said. "Which is good, right?"
"You sure you're feeling ok?" Zach asked.
"Uh huh, yeah," Rebecca said not very convincingly.
Zach looked at her closely, concerned. "Positive?" he asked again.
"Mhm," Rebecca said still not sounding honest.
"Rebecca? What are you not saying?" Zach asked.
"I just feel like I left something back there," Rebecca said. "Like theres something missing in me. Being here, being home isn't making me feel anything. I'm not happy or sad or anything."
"Hm." Zach said thinking. "Maybe it's just the after affects of everything that happened there. Hopefully it'll go away soon."
"Hopefully," Rebecca said as the last bit of sun disappeared. "Well I guess I should go in there, if I'm gone for one more day my mom might plan a MIA funeral for me."
"Alright, I'll see you later." Zach said as he gave her a kiss on the cheek and walked away.
Zach turned around. "I would. But I have to go tell my mom I'm not dead." he said.
Rebecca nodded. "Can you come back later?" she asked. She was developing separation anxiety especially when it came to being away from Zach.
Zach nodded. "Sure. Give me an hour." he said.
"Okay," Rebecca nodded. Then went inside.
Zach went to his mom and went in circles trying to calm her down without actually telling her anything.
Rebecca did the same thing with her mom. Her mom already knew about everything like witches and vampires, but to tell about what happened would have killed her mom.
Zach was back at Rebecca's house in exactly an hour, and knocked on her door.
Rebecca's mom opened the door and was glad to see Zach. "Come in," she said. "Rebecca's just finishing up a shower.
Zach smiled, "Thank you." he said, stepping inside.
Rebecca's mom didn't offer Zach anything, because she knew what he was and that he didn't need anything.A minute or two later Rebecca finished her shower and got dressed. She then went down stairs to see Zach.
"So, what did you want to do?" Zach asked.
"I just missed you, and wanted to hang out," Rebecca said.
Zach nodded. Then he smiled. "Alright. Sounds like a plan."
"Come on," Rebecca said. "Lets go up to my room."
Zach nodded and started up to her room.
When they got to her room Rebecca sat on the bed and closed her eyes. "I'm so tired," she said quietly. "More tired then I've ever been."
"You should rest." Zach said, sitting next to her.
Rebecca nodded and laid down on the bed
"Get some rest. Do you want me to stay here?" Zach asked.
"Alright." Zach said, sitting on the floor and leaning his back against the wall. "Rest now." he said.
Rebecca moved over so there was space on the bed. "Please come over here?" she asked. She knew she was sounding clingy and needy but at the moment she didn't care.
Zach laid next to her, and held her close. "Better?" he asked.
"Much," Rebecca said. She curled up into Zach's chest and closed her eyes as if she was going to sleep.
Zach held her close and watched her since he wasn't tired at all.
Rebecca started to drift like in a state of semi consciousness. She trembled slightly remembering the time in training.
"Zach, I can't even close my eyes," Rebecca complained, opening her eyes and looking up at Zach.
"Because when I do I'm back there," Rebecca said referring to the Mord Sith's lair.
Zach kissed her forehead. "Then don't close your eyes. Just rest, but with your eyes open."
Zach nodded. "They come to me sometimes." he said.
