"And what are you doing at my window?" Rebecca said.

"Oh, I was bored, so I took a walk in the woods." shrugged Dakota casually. She looked at Rebecca, "I was hoping I could make a few friends..." she answered truthfully.
"Friends? Friends...." Zach thought the word over in his head. He really didnt trust any vampire since he was forcably turned.
"You're a vampire aren't you?" Rebecca said remembering that her room was on the second floor.
Dakota nodded, "Yup." she looked down and then at Zach, "Is he alright?" she murmured to Rebecca.
"I heard that!" Zach said. he then continued to think in the corner he was standing in.
"He's a newborn," Rebecca whispered back. "Half the time I don't know if he's alright anymore."
Zach banged his head on the wall, careful not to hurt the wall, but he didnt feel it. He had heard that too.
Dakota giggled lightly. She looked at Rebecca, "Newborn, huh?" she smiled at Zach.
"He's taken," Rebecca said defensively.
"I know that." Dakota frowned, looking at her.
Zach still wasnt sure if he liked the new vampire.
"Sorry," Rebecca said. "I'm just very protective of Zach."
Zach would never admit it to anyone, or even himself, but he disregarded what she had said earlier after she said that.
"I can see that." Dakota smiled, "So what is your name? I already know Zach's."
"Her name is Rebecca." Zach said just to say something. He didnt like just standing there.

"Oh. Cool. You guys wanna hang out with me, or rather I hang out with you?" she asked.
Niether? Zach thought, but he looked over at REbecca.
"I don't mind," Rebecca said but looked at Zach. "You want to?" She asked.
Zach shrugged. "I guess." he said, still wary of the newcomer.
Dakota smiled and climbed in through the window, "So what should we do?" she asked. Dakota looked at Zach, "You don't have to be wary. I'm clean."
"Let's just say I don't trust vampires." Zach said, and he left the conversaion at that.
"All his previous encounters with vampires were very bad," Rebecca whispered in Dakota's ear.
Dakota nodded and looked at Rebecca, "Oh, right." she whispered back.
"So, when your done talking about me like I cant hear, guys, what are we going to do?" zach asked
Rebecca bit her lip. "Sorry Zach," Rebecca said.
"Oh, sorry." she apologized.
"Yeah." Zach said, not being able to force himself to tell her that it was ok.
"You guys wanna play truth or dare or something?" Rebecca asked not able to think of anything else.
zach had to chuckled a little. It had been a couple of years since he'd played truth or dare. "Ok." he said.
"Yeah." Dakota grinned. She wanted to ask Rebecca something about Zach, but she figured he didn't want anyone talking about him.
"So who wants to ask first?" Rebecca asked pulling her self onto her bed, wincing when she put a lot of pressure on her wrist.
Zach sat on the floor next to her bed. "You can." he said.
Dakota stayed where she was and sat down, waiting for Rebecca.
"Alright truth or dare?" She asked Zach
Dakota smiled, waiting for Rebecca's question.
"Why do you love me?" Rebecca asked.
"Because your strong, your independant, your nice, your pretty, your smart, your talented, your powerful, your courageous-do I have to go on?" Zach said.
Rebecca smiled. "No," She said grinning. "Alright Dakota your turn."
Zach listened for whatever Dakota was going to say.
Dakota smiled. She looked at Rebecca, "Truth or dare??" she asked.
"Hmmm, uhh..." Dakota thought for a second, "Do you trust me? You know, as a friend?"
