Hi all, so glad to be here. I've published 50 romance novels under my real name Margaret Brownley. My next book is a cozy mystery, which I've written under the name of Kate Damon. The last time I wrote a book under a pen name, I was almost arrested. Someone saw me signing books in a bookstore and called the police, They thought I was defacing books. The problem was that when the nice officer asked to see my I.D., it didn't match the name on the book. Boy, did I have a lot of explaining to do.

Bradley Ellis (httpsbradleyellisauthorcom) | 1 comments Greetings everyone. My name is Bradley David Ellis and it is a real pleasure to be here. I am a budding children's author from Ontario, Canada (I split my time between Forest and Port Hope, good luck finding either, the RCMP can't even find these towns. ;) but I enjoy the small town charm).
I have one published title on Amazon now and another will drop by the end of the week.
I need to learn the forums, rules, and codes of conduct before I start posting more, just for now, introducing myself and thanking the members, moderators, and specifically Vincent for everything all of you do for us. Thank you for allowing me in to this group and forum.
Sincerely,
Bradley

A.K. Frailey | 8 comments Hi, Everyone,

I have self-published seventeen books: five in the OldEarth Encounter series, a transitional stand-alone novel, Last of Her Kind, and two novels introducing the Newearth world.

I experimented with a contemporary family - sci-fi drama entitled Homestead. In addition to a reflection on The Lord of the Rings, I wrote two non-fiction books about my life as a widow and mother raising a family in a small town.

I also have written three short story collections, a children’s book, and a poetry collection. Each genre widens my scope and enriches my worldview.

Readers look for relatable stories that deepen understanding and compassion in our wounded world.

I hope my writing brings to readers

Relatable characters and situations
Honest personalities managing profound struggles
Worthy investment - Many readers have told me that they have read my books several times.
A cathartic experience

If you're interested in my work, feel free to check out my website https://akfrailey.com/

Thanks for reading!

My debut novel, ALL THAT SHIMMERS, releases May 13, 2025, so I'm now learning all about book marketing :-). It's set at a grand hotel in the White Mountains of New Hampshire during WWI and the Spanish Flu pandemic, plus there are fairies.

My WIP is a historical biography, first in a series, about a lady in waiting in the court of the French King Louis XIII who went on to become one of the most influential women in 17th century French politics.

I'm also an avid reader. Favorites include Historical Fantasy and Historicals, naturally, plus family dramas, suspense and thrillers.

Glad to be joining you!

Rayy Flowers (rayyflowers) | 10 comments Hi, fellow book lovers and writers!

I’m a new author embarking on this exciting, yet sometimes overwhelming, journey of writing and publishing. As much as I love the solitude of writing, I’ve realized that having like-minded friends for inspiration, advice, and support can make all the difference.

Whether you’re a seasoned author or just starting out like me, I’d love to connect! Here are a few things about me:
📚 I’m currently writing a psychological thriller trilogy.
✍🏽 I’m passionate about crafting diverse stories with complex characters.
🎥 I vlog about my life as an author, mom, wife, and business owner (and it’s as chaotic as it sounds!).

If you’re someone who loves talking about plot twists, character development, or just sharing the ups and downs of this creative life, let’s chat! I’d love to exchange tips, brainstorm ideas, or just cheer each other on.

Feel free to drop a comment below or send me a message—Let’s inspire each other, one word at a time.

I just saw this post and I'll check out your book. One of my author buddies suggested that I put my first book at .99 (for the kindle version) for a month. It's book world language for "hey I'm new take a look at my book". It worked out wonderfully for me.

Sviatoslav Yemets | 3 comments Sviatoslav Yemets

I started writing when I was 10, and today is the 11th year from the beginning of this amazing journey, which never ceased and will never cease.

As an Author of Egyptian Legend: Cowhatep, my debut, I am currently working on the next stories which will deepen the story, introducing even more new plot twists and relatable characters, as well as drama with a pinch of comedy and breathtaking journeys combined with epic battles.

I will gladly drown in your stories, especially when they are written with kind of a "geek" approach, as I love to call it.

Wish you all great success and good luck. We all are players on a same big field, but it doesn't require us to be rivals. Let's build healthy concurrence together, and may "He/She is damn good! I'll try my best to be better!" be our approach!

Only problem is, I have SO MANY amazing books and authors to catch up on! Looking to read some Sanderson, Hobb, and Abercrombie as next year's main goals, and publish my own book (+ novella) as well!

Any other key authors I should add to my list? I'm already reading Gwynne, and Ryan Cahill is a bit of an idol of mine.

Arthur Considine | 2 comments Author & Reader. New to the site with my first work of fiction, Camelback Mountain - The Road taken: Back Cover Content
In the late 1950s, the Walkers left behind the rolling hills of Ireland, risking everything for a new life in the unforgiving deserts of Arizona. Bridging two centuries and two continents, Camelback Mountain tells the story of a family caught between tradition and progress, sacrifice and survival.
As the world around them transforms, the Walkers face the timeless challenges of adapting to a new culture, preserving their heritage, and securing a future for their children. From the Irish rebellion to the modern American West, their journey is one of resilience, faith, and the enduring power of family.
In this sweeping novel, Arthur Considine weaves together the complex threads of history and identity, capturing the immigrant experience as the Walkers navigate the shifting landscapes of two worlds.
Will their sacrifice be enough to carry the family into a new century, or will the weight of the past hold them back?

About the Author
Arthur Considine is an Irish-American author whose writing reflects his deep connection to both his Irish roots and his life in the American Southwest. Over the years he has developed a keen understanding of human dynamics and the immigrant experience which brings depth to his storytelling. Arthur lives in Arizona and is currently working on exploring the back stories of the memorable characters in Camelback Mountain, *Camelback Mountain: A Collection of Short Stories*.

Angie Wolf (httpswwwamazoncomdpb0dkxg3tr1) | 2 comments Hello to this wonderful community of readers and authors!

My name is Angie Wolf, and I am a new author in the world of children's literature. I recently published my debut book, Whim’s Magic Hat. It’s a warm and magical story inspired by the joy of becoming an aunt to twins and the excitement of soon becoming a grandmother. The book is aimed at young readers (4-7 years old) and their parents, delivering a heartfelt message about discovering joy and magic in everyday life.

A few things about me:

I love writing stories that spark imagination and bring smiles.
My inspirations include authors like Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (The Little Prince) and Laura Numeroff (If You Give a Mouse a Cookie).
I enjoy connecting with other writers and readers to learn what captivates them most in books.
What I’d love to learn from you: What, in your opinion, makes a children’s book truly memorable? Do you have favorite children’s stories that you’ve reread with your kids or for your own inspiration?

I would be thrilled if anyone is interested in Whim’s Magic Hat and shares an honest review. I am planning to make the book free for a limited time on Amazon soon and will let you know the date if you’re interested.

I’m looking forward to joining discussions and learning more about all of you!

Warm regards,
Angie Wolf

Tony Hipps | 2 comments Hi, and welcome to my Goodreads author page! I’m [Your Name], a working-class combat veteran and proud, red-blooded American. My journey as a writer has been fueled by a deep passion for exploring the truths and complexities of our modern world. Whether I’m delving into the shifting tides of politics or crafting gripping fiction, my goal is to engage, challenge, and inspire readers.

My first book, [American Reckoning: The Missteps, the Resilience, and the Return of Leadership], takes a hard look at the decline of the Democratic Party, exploring how it has strayed from its roots and what that means for the future of our country.

My second book, [WOKEISM Dividing a Nation, Undermining Our Heritage], addresses the rise of Wokeism and why it’s counterproductive to the ideals of a thriving republic. Both works are a call to action, inviting readers to think critically about the forces shaping our society.

On the fiction side, I’m excited to share my upcoming novel, [Dossier: In the Shadow of Terror. Inside the World of Saif al-Adel]. It follows a journalist navigating the vibrant, chaotic streets of Istanbul, who unwittingly becomes entangled in a high-stakes game involving one of the world’s most wanted terrorists. This story brings together my love for action, suspense, and rich storytelling, and I can’t wait for you to dive in.

When I’m not writing, I’m just like many of you—working hard, staying grounded, and finding meaning in everyday life. I’d love to hear your thoughts on my books, whether you agree, disagree, or just want to have a conversation. Feel free to leave a review, follow me here, or connect with me on [social media link].

Thank you for joining me on this journey. Whether you’re here for the political insights or the thrilling fiction, I’m honored to have you as a reader.

Tammy Gunn | 3 comments Dancing Through Diagnosis: Navigating Breast Cancer, the good, bad, and surprisingly funny

Hello Everyone, my name is Tammy Gunn and I am the author of the above named memoir Dancing Through Diagnosis. This book is the story of my breast cancer journey. It may make you laugh (surprisingly). You may cry and you may laugh and cry at the same time! It has been known to happen.

I also love to read. I could curl up with a good romance book or a book of comedic blunders and spend the afternoon smiling and giggling. I also am just as happy to pick up a suspense thriller, turn the lights out and duck under the covers with my reading light and scare the life out of myself with a great page turner. And on those days where I want to connect more with humanity and learn from others experiences, I am happy to pick up a delightful memoir and learn more.

I am looking forward to being a part of this community.

Thank you for having me!

Warm regards,

Tammy Gunn
