R.C. Cameron | 4 comments Hi
I'm RC Cameron and have been writing for some 5 years already. I've published two books in Canada (in French) and one in the US. A second US novel is coming out in a month or so.
I've made the mistake of correcting my own book with the result it was published with some errors. I've used a professional editor and re-published the book. Enjoy!

Y comencé a estudiar Psicología Emocional, Coaching, PNL, dibujo y pintura.

H.O. Ward | 2 comments Hello, readers and writers one and all . . . my name is Howard and I write fictitious history novels under the pseudonym H.O.WARD.

Since retirement, my interest in writing has expanded from writing poetry to writing novels and have recently released my second novel, Across The Parallel.

My first novel, Doris, tells a rollercoaster story of a young war nurse, who experiences front line action, love, and romance in Italy, before being smuggled back to England to live a homeless life on the streets of London.

My second novel includes activities at RAF Grimsby and Waltham village during 1943, where George, a bomber pilot experiences déjà vu and crosses the parallel to a Taoist temple in 500BC and an English stately home ensnared by witchcraft in 1645.

Both novels are of the Historical Fiction genre, weaving fictitious stories amongst factual events and places that have received admirable reviews. However, I am changing tact for my latest story, Venice Lagoon, it's going to be a story of pure fantasy.

You can learn more about me and my novels by following the link

Howard

Janine Frances | 2 comments Hi everyone! My name is Janine Frances and I live in Australia. I'm a passionate reader and writer. I've tried my hand at many different genres and I recently released a dystopian thriller called Omniscience.

I tend to just write what I feel like without thinking too much about creating a consistent brand, which goes against all marketing advice.

By day I work for the government in the area of traffic fines (don't hate me). By night I create new worlds from my imagination. I have a degree in English and I worked for a while as a high school teacher before realising this wasn't the best job for a major introvert.

My current WIP is an historical romance about a highwayman (or bushranger as we say in Australia).

Melrose McFadden | 2 comments Hello! I'm Melrose, and I'm an author of cozy mystery series.

I have challenged myself (success so far) to publish one book per month for all of 2022. I published my first series starter in December 2021, and have since published 3 more novels, with 2 more in the works. So it looks like I'll be on track and on schedule for the first 3 in each series at least!

Follow me to see if I succeed in my crazy goal for the rest of the year. If I do... I'm retiring from my day job in aerospace. There's a lot on the line. :D

Follow your dreams... even if they are weird.

message 19578: by Shawn (new)

Shawn Adair | 7 comments After floundering around for months, I bit the bullet and paid for professional reviews of my second book with Atmosphere Press, “Demons, the Great White North and the Blind Detective”, published January 15, 2022 . I did this because at my advanced age of 72, I need timely, objective feedback regarding my ability to write compelling sci fi/fantasy/mystery novels. I do not begrudge the time and effort needed for a new author to “break through”, it is just that the amount of sand left in my personal hourglass ain’t what it used to be. Happily, every review was positive, most of them very much so, and I invite you to check out my Goodreads blog for a summary of six of the reviews. I remain very interested in connecting with other GR authors willing to exchange manuscripts and reviews with me. For members of the sci fi/fantasy group at GR, I am equally happy to provide you with a word document of the book if you would be kind enough to review it. You can contact me through GR, my website www.theblinddetective.com or directly through e mail at “shawnjohnstonphd@comcast.net.”

message 19586: by Mariann (new)

Mariann Yip | 1 comments Hi everybody! My name is Mariann and I am a native New Yorker and a new published author! My book Un-Hinged: What I Learned from Saying, "It's You, It's Not Me" in the NYC Dating Scene is out now and can be found here https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...

Un-Hinged is about my dating experiences in NYC, but more than that it’s a book about self-development, self-discovery and self-love. My book is entertaining and raw and offers a fresh lens to the reality of dating in a busy and big city like New York and is a modern take on ‘Sex and the City.’

There are 12 chapters in total and every chapter dives into the lessons I’ve learned from each suitor. And when you’re reading it, it’s as if I am calling you to dish about these men, so I don’t sugarcoat anything and it’s as authentic and raw as it gets.

But I do want to also emphasize that even though the premise is about dating and is targeted to single women, it’s a book about navigating life and figuring out who you are in the world. I also talk about the role of therapy in my life because I applied the lessons I’ve learned to my dates and relationships. Other major themes of the book include the importance in healing past wounds, recognizing patterns, and the power of boundaries and self-awareness.

I'm here to connect with other readers and authors :)

Nartan Rose (nartanrose) | 2 comments Hi! I'm an official Bookworm and Audiobook Narrator/Producer. I spend a few hours most days in my little studio and when I come out I like to cook, stretch, dance, do yoga, listen to a zillion audiobooks, talk and hang out with my partner and run off to the beach when the sun's out!

I've always been a bookworm. Books allow me to escape and be present both at the same time! I can live in other worlds, get to know someone really well and spend time with them from the perspective of an introvert!

I can't believe how many resources and recommendations goodreads provides - I need to buy extra hours each day to fit in all I want to read!

I'm looking forward to being part of this community, meeting other book lovers and authors. Ask me about audiobooks, don't be shy!

Warmest - Nartan

Johnathon Nicolaou (johnathonnicolaou) Hi all,

My book The Chain Between Worlds has so far been well received, rating quite highly, but unfortunately I haven't had the reach to get it out there to the readers of the world. If you love Fantasy novels you'll love my book. It's got mystery, adventure, twists and turns, betrayals (*gasp*) and of course romance.

You can find it on my website: https://johnathonnicolaoucreations.com

or

on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com.au/s?i=digital...

Synopsis:
Runner up in the 2021 TCK Publishing Reader’s Choice Awards: Fantasy Genre

At the age of five Lincoln was abandoned inexplicably at an orphanage by his father with nothing but a promise to return and an old wrist chain. 11 years later when seemingly ordinary 16-year-old Lincoln runs away from yet another foster home, heading to his favoured spot in New York City, he is attacked by a dog, a monstrous three headed dog the size of a truck. Becoming marked, a string of attacks follow, only ending when he is saved by El, Ben, and AJ, a group of enhanced people known as Ascendants. Discovering the world is not as it seems, with Sorcerers, Nature Spirits and demonic monsters all hiding in plain sight, he learns that he is a long-lost Ascendant himself; discovering that the chain his father left him was at the centre of a conspiracy that resulted in his abandonment and his father’s subsequent disappearance.

Oliver Miemietz Good day everyone,

Name's Oliver and I'm an avid enjoyer of anything fictional, although I've got a special affection for (Dark) Fantasy and anything Fantasy-related (most notably books and video games). There's just something deeply satisfying and magical about letting go of your surroundings and diving (or perhaps escaping) into other people's worlds - or my own. I'm also a very reclusive person who's forcing himself out of isolation little by little so my view on that might be a little skewed.
Either way, I've been a reader for the better part of my life, although I thought up my own characters, concepts and worlds in the evening hours of many a day which (after finishing A Memory of Light) eventually resulted in me writing a story about it that now partially serves as lore for my current novel series.
