Thank you, Sally, in your reply about prayer books. I'm planning 10 chapters, including having a title for each prayer, but planning to leave out the repetitive "Dear God" and "Amen". Is this appropriate? Thank you very much for considering.

Yes, that's sounds fine. The main thing is having at least 130 pages to it if you want the spine to have the title on it, but there are lots of tricks I can use to add pages. :) My website is inksnatcher .com.
Hello. I'm Cheryl Taragin, Baltimore, MD native, and currently living in my hometown. Can't help but love this small town that grew into a big city, warts and all. I have three adult children and two grandchildren and we all live within a 5-mile radius, so I get to see and spend time with my family a lot. I feel truly blessed. Becoming an author has always been my dream. I have stories, lots of stories, floating around in my head. My first book is a children's picture book for young readers.
"That's Ridiculous, Said Nicholas" is about an energetic young daredevil who walks to the beat of his own drum. Nicholas Jon Paul Martin William Annabelle Tydings wants to be treated like a sensible child, but people often tell him things he knows cannot be true. Nicholas reacts to the hype with a matter-of-fact refrain that will amuse and delight young readers. The story shows how positive feedback and good common sense help build healthy self-esteem. When children love themselves they can also show loving-kindness to others. Parents may also notice a more subtle theme that children respond better to praise than to criticism.

Looking forward to sharing conversations with you all!

I'm an author of middle-grade and YA graphic novels. I live in Toronto, Canada and I'm also an editor where I work primarily again on comics and graphic novels. My debut is called Oh My Gods! and it came out in January. I co-wrote it with Insha Fitzpatrick with art by Juliana Moon. My second book, ParaNorthern, came out in July with art by Mari Costa.I have a few more books lined up to be released over the next little while but as you all know, publishing can be quite slow. I'd love to connect with more people in the community though! I'm also an avid reader and have primarily used Goodreads as a way to track my reading. Trying to change that though :)
Hello everyone. My novel 'The Muller Vaccine' was published recently by Austin Macauley and is available, like a virus, almost everywhere. It was written a decade ago and submitted in 2019, so as a book about a vaccine conspiracy, one can only say 'it's time has come.' It concerns a first-time published author whose failed book turns out to be more contentious than he would have thought.

Hi everyone,I'm so excited to have found this group! I've written two fantasy novels and am close to launching a third. The first in the series just won a Readers' Favorite award. I've also written two nonfiction books. I'm looking forward to learning about what everyone is reading and writing.
Hey all, I'm an avid reader based in Halifax, NS. I'm working on my first podcast which is a mercantile history of Canada. Authors are some of my favourite people to know and to talk to, which is what brings me to this group.
Hey! I'm somewhat new to Goodread and learning how to use this app. Just learned how to become a part of this group!
I'm a reader. A slow reader. As I am a bit dislexic but still I have loved books and stories behind them since I was a kid. Fantasy, horror and Sci-Fi are my favorite gengers but I'm not limited by them as I love a good story.
I live in Finland and work as a nurse at the local hospital. Been quite busy at work so sometimes it's hard to find time for reading. Then again stories and books are a great way to escape and relax after a tuff day.
Hey Alan! Thanks for that recomendation! Will look up on his books.
I'm fan of Stephen King, Clive Barker and Edgar Allan Poe but always on the look for new authors and books to read. So thank you!
Hello everyone! After taking a webinar, I've finally learned how to use GoodReads and am excited to use it more to connect with readers and authors. I'm a new author as of last year and have one book and several short stories published in magazines/anthologies. My second book is scheduled for a pre-order on Friday, October 1st and will be released on November 1st. If you like Christmas and Contemporary Women's Fiction books, feel free to check out my first book, Her Mother's Last Christmas Gift.
I also enjoy reading various book genres. If I had to choose a favorite genre, I would say historical fiction. Feel free to friend or follow me, and we can help one another out for promoting books.

Hello everyone. I'm a first-time author from Hobart, Tasmania. My debut novel, A Soldier's Quartet, based on true events, was recently published by Shawline Publishing Group Pty Ltd (Melbourne) and is out there in local bookstores (Hobart, Dymocks and Fullers Bookshops in Hobart, and Petrarch's Bookshop in Launceston, our northern capital). I thank them dearly for their support. I'm still learning my way around the publishing and book distribution world, but having fun! In the meantime, I have an official book launch on the 9 October 2021, hosted and funded by TasWriters during the Hobart Writers Festival. As part of the launch, my string quartet, inspired by the main themes of the book, will also be performed by myself with Christopher John, William Newbery and Brett Charles Rutherford. I am honoured to perform with these talented musicians.
Hi, My name is Amelia Griggs and I have always loved to write. I like to read too, when I have time, and I read more nonfiction than fiction. My background is IT Training/Support, and Instructional Design. I am now a freelance contractor, so I can devote more time to writing. I have self-published over a dozen book in different genres. I also loved creating training videos on my YouTube channel and I'm in the process of creating online courses as well. Thank you.
Hello, all. I'm Doug Hughes, a first-time author of a memoir. Some of you may remember the central event from 2015. I'm the mailman who flew a 250-pound gyrocopter (Picture a cross between a motorcycle and a helicopter.) across Maryland, turning left at the Potomac to land on the west lawn of the US Capitol Building. Uninvited, unannounced, and carrying 535 letters, one for every member of Congress calling them out for legalized corruption. That's not the book - it's barely one chapter of the book. What led to the flight includes a political awakening and personal tragedy which took me to a dark depression. The stunt emerged as an alternative to suicide. Constructive, dramatic, and I might even survive. Planning the demonstration and learning to fly became therapy - the flight itself an act of personal redemption.
After landing, I was arrested and charged. The DOJ was not amused - the risk was over nine years in prison for a protest which injured no one and did not a dime of damage. The press was amused - I had a forum to discuss the graft that Congress will not admit. Could a public defender and a sharp trial lawyer hold off the power and fury of the officials I'd enraged?
