I also do freelance editing. Hyrum (sewahatchi) | 7 comments Here's my pebble into the ocean...

Other than my never-ending quest to find a good novel, I'm looking for collaboration with other authors. And since I enjoy novels from many subjects and styles, the author's belief system matters most to me. I'm especially looking for those who don't fall for what they see on the various electronic screens infecting our lives.

Check out my website for more information, hyrumjones.com, or contact me through GoodReads.

Sam Stone | 4 comments Hi there- My name is Sam Houston, and while I'm not new to Goodreads, this is my first time really exploring the site and using it properly. I am transitioning from a 30-year career in law enforcement, and finally letting myself really write with the goal of publishing. I am almost finished with the 1st draft of my debut novel (tentatively titled, "Reaper"). My genre is thriller/military and law enforcement action/adventure. At least that's my intention! I've begun the process of contracting with an editor and hope to self-publish in the next 60 days or so. Would love to enter into some reciprocal reviewing with y'all and help us all reach our goals. Thanks!

Congratulations on your three books. I've pasted your post in English (Google translate), for convenience.

I am EIN KLEINER STAUBWEDE (pseudonym due to data protection) and have written and published three KDP books (each in ebook and paperback form) amazon.de.

They deal with experiences that a person seeking help (impaired, partly disabled) has to make due to the fact that authorities or employers often sometimes do not comply with legal regulations or contractual agreements and apparently no one controls such behavior. (As I also had to learn in the case of legal support of a Messie.)

However, I have only been a goodreads author for a few days and therefore have no contact with other authors or readers at goodreads. I would therefore be very happy about nice letters and am with a blog, a group "Non-fiction books about official behave" also under https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... can be found. I would be happy.

“I smiled, with that innocent subtle shrug, my mind evaluating the alternatives, weighing one response over another. My thoughts came a bit slower when I had a hangover….”

Carmen Harris (theharrisauthor) | 16 comments Hello everyone, I'm Carmen and am from South Africa. I've got a self-published contemporary novella coming out towards the end of August 2021. I'm joining both as an author but also as a casual reader - since I love finding new authors to read. I enjoy supporting indie authors.
On occasion, I'd like to get myself a book off of Amazon, read it and leave a reader review. I'm read a variety of genres, but genres that I particularly enjoy are women's fiction; contemporary, chick lit, literary fiction, crime and thriller.
I hope to become a regular poster in the forums and look forward to getting to know all of you.
Hope you're all doing well. : )

Eric Brown (erichbrown) Hello all! I am Eric from U.S. and recently self published my first two books for creatives that are aspiring or new to leadership. It has been quite a journey and a steep learning curve. I have been learning from many of you by reading your questions and answers. Thank you! You have made an impact on my life.
I have ideas for nine other projects, but like many, writing is my second job. ;) We will see where this leads.
The genres I like reading depend on whether I am trying to improve myself or just relaxing. I read books on spirituality, technology, relationship building, and exercise/nutrition to learn and improve. I read fantasy, historical fiction, thrillers, and sci-if to relax.
Looking forward to interacting more with everyone! Let me know how I can help or support you.

Meg Barber | 12 comments Hi, I am interested in joining you all. I have one book on Kindle currently for 99p UK, not sure what it is in the US, but I'd like to know if anyone cares to have a look from over there! It is going back up to £2.99 soon. The title I used is probably too long, Joe, Al the Alien and the girl with Thistledown Hair. Especially as I was shocked to find UK people who were unaware that visitors are all aliens when we come to the US. I have visited the US on numerous occasions and loved it, and its people. And I rather love the title of 'Alien'. I hope my story shows some of that appreciation. It is a romance, but with people who have been around the block somewhat (as have I!). Very little sex. I'd love some opinions on how some modern romances are so sexually explicit these days.

message 18821: by Chris (last edited Aug 22, 2021 01:56PM) (new)

Chris Shepherd | 6 comments Hi all,

My name is Chris Shepherd, and I have just released my first novel, As you can well imagine this is both exciting and unnerving for me since this is completely unfamiliar territory.

The Trumpets, is a work that brings the biblical prophecies found in Daniel and Revelation to life. The writing of The Trumpets originated from one simple phrase from Revelation 13: 'Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.' You see, when I read this, I instantly knew what it meant. Since then I have been drawn to biblical prophecies by a force within that compelled me to write The Trumpets, a controversial novel unlike any before it, if I may have a few moments of your time I will elaborate.

I find it interesting that the most read book in the world, the Bible, contains such an extensive collection of esoteric passages that have confounded and confused scholars and dabblers alike. The visions and prophecies from the likes of Daniel, John, and Jesus himself that are so prominent within the Bible, are seemingly cloaked in a veil of mystery, however, a revelation is at hand.

The Trumpets is titled most notably for the apocalyptic segment of the same name in the biblical book of Revelation. Six angelic flourishes of the trumpets herald the onset of six cataclysmic events that will rock the foundation of our civilization. A seventh, and final, triumphant peal is the harbinger of the most anticipated moment in history…

The biblical end-time is already upon us, and the Antichrist walks among men. The die has been cast, and a future fraught with peril will inexorably unfold as the wrath of God befalls humanity.
Join in an epic journey through the millennia as the conflict between good and evil ebbs and flows culminating in the ultimate battle between the armies of the Antichrist and God’s Chosen.

Although The Trumpets pertains exclusively to biblical prophecy, it not a religious novel, at least not in the conventional understanding of religion; it is meant to be experienced by all. The events described in The Trumpets have occurred in the past, are happening in the present, and will come to be in the future as foretold in the Bible!

Denise Eaton | 5 comments Hello! My name is Denise (no da niece and da nephew jokes, please). I'm thirty years old and new here on Goodreads. I just released my debut a few days ago. I write fantasy exclusively, usually epic and dark like my debut is, which is the first of a series. Now that I'm not so stressed, I hope to get back into reading more as I continue to write book two.

I have a chronic illness that is so far undiagnosed, so I'm a stay at home full time writer now. I have a Bachelor's in creative writing, though it never did much for me in the workforce.

I hope to be able to get reviews and bolster my book here, as well as find works to add to my TBR.

Charlotte | 2 comments I am a 22 Year Old, Ward Hostess at a local hospital who loves to read YA Fantasy reader. I would like to someday read other genres. Due to whenever there are no fantasy books I can get stuck in any other book. I am currently reading Shadow Falls series on the 1st Book by C.C Hunter from a recommendation due to liking the Night World series by L.J Smith which got me hooked into Fantasy books.

Even though I am a reader, I occassionally like to write my own story for fun from my imaginative brain from dreams. Would like to try and self-publish my own story one day.

Nick Fuller | 1 comments Hello - I'm Nick from the UK. I have written a couple of non fiction books which came out a few years ago now but am just about to publish my first fiction at the end of the month.

Most of my writing is factual (I write features and reviews for music and football magazines); more personal ideas normally come out in my songs. Writing short stories is very different. I'm about to find out how they go down which is a bit scary..........

Looking fwd to participating in the Forum.

David Grunwell (73581526-david-grunwell) | 5 comments My name is David Grunwell, I am the Author of the science fiction books THE FALL OF HEAVEN and THE WAR WITHIN, and the fantasy series THE ADVENTURES OF RUFERTO BASARETTI: TROLLS AND OTHER TROUBLE, PROPHECIES AND OTHER PROBLEMS, and DARK ELF DANGER.

I love to write. To be fair, it is an addiction that is not under control or in remission. There are always dialogues and adventures going through my mind, asking to be told.

In my process, I tend to create mayhem and then try to figure out some plausible, fun, and unique way for the characters to escape. Readers are smart, so I avoid lengthy descriptions that slow the story.

I seek to make stories and characters that you like and think about months later. Good books end with you saying goodbye to friends.

Visit dgrunwell.com or my Goodreads profile to learn more about my novels. I have all five novels available in trade paper back and e-books on Amazon. THE FALL OF HEAVEN is also available through Barnes and Noble, Nook, and iTunes.
