Hello everyone. I have just created a new group called Author's Reviews. This for authors who do not want to pay for reviews and can exchange books and then review. If this is something that interests you please join the group.

Barbara Bishop | 1 comments Hi. New member from Hawaii here. I've been reading since I was a young child, so a long, long time now. Mostly fantasy/science fiction, some light comedy and lately, light romance. I go through moods....

I was, briefly, a member of a writing group out there on the net but discovered that, while I think I write well, I'm a bit short on the necessary imagination to be a writer. I'm a heck of a good reader, though! :)

My dead-tree library, alas, I can no longer read, my eyes just can't deal with it any more. Thank goodness for e-readers with adjustable type. So now I have a house full of hardbacks and paperbacks that take up lots of space that I have a philosophical issue with disposing of. Ah, well - that's what procrastination is for.

Diana Coombes | 17 comments I've always wanted to go to Hawaii, ever since I watched Hawaii Five O with my dad. It looks so beautiful there. My book, It Won't Happen Again, isn't any of the types of book you read, but could you take a look at Amazon, and see whether or not you would be interested in reading it.

Norelle | 16 comments If Untold is a fiction novel that started as a conversation in a park. Within months, the idea had taken on a life of its own. Lightly inspired by events and people from the past, this book will lead you through the innocence of youth and then into a dark reality. It will also touch your heart and remain in your thoughts for years to come.
Everyone has a past. Everything changes. Some for the better, some for the worst.
Francesca Romano’s life is no fairy tale. Hers is an uncontrolled world of silent tears and torment, where love crumbles and tragedy looms because of things left untold — because of the secrets that are kept. A world where honesty is obsolete, and youthful rebellion turns into total chaos. Francesca tries to gain control when she disappears to a new place, hoping to never be found. To a place where she can start anew, and escape the despair, emptiness, and fear of her former world.
When she finds new love and new faith, she feels she is finally on the path to redemption and healing. Until one morning she gets a call, and all that which was left, returns to her, to satisfy an unfulfilled promise...

Norelle | 16 comments I'm also looking for self-published authors who have audiobooks. Don't get me wrong, I love to have a hardcopy in my hand! However, I'm in my car or in the horse pasture a lot, so I find myself listening more then sitting and reading right now. I have started posting reviews on my website (NorelleAndMitchell.com) and FB page (IF Untold) for the books as well. So please send me a message. I enjoy mystery, thriller and who doesn't love a great romance!

I'm a self-published author, and all my books - poetry and stories - are available in audio (as well as multiple eBook formats, and paperback). Well, apart from the two anthologies I've contributed to, because the choice to make those available in audio or not is out of my hands, and my two new poetry books, because I haven't had a chance to sort them yet, but will be sorting audio versions of the new poetry books as soon as I can.

Sandra RDMS | 5 comments Hello, Everyone!

I'm so grateful for this platform to connect with other authors and readers alike. I'm Sandra Minck, RDMS, and I'm the author of my first book, Ultrasound Unwrapped: A Week-by-Week Pregnancy Image Guide .

I'm an OB sonographer of 29 years and love Health Writing. I have an interest in educating our expectant population and the next generation of sonographers. My book is a great addition to other pregnancy guides, skimming the surface of ultrasound with images. I included more than 150 explaining ultrasound, addressing misconceptions, and teaching parents what they can expect to see on the monitor. I self-published my ebook May 4 and just released my paperback through IngramSpark. Whew! It only took four and a half years! I am indebted for life to my dear friend, a copyeditor with Wiley for 37 years. She sure did help me polish the end result.

After all that work, I'm left with the most daunting of challenges—navigating the world as publisher! This to me is laughable. It feels like the Mt. Everest of marketing and promotion. After all, people have made decades-long careers doing this. Navigating this side of it feels slow and painful and overwhelming! Any advice or comments or requests to review are welcome. I'm happy to share!

I've begun what I hope is my next publication, OB/GYN short stories. And a few ideas are swirling for a related novel, too... I did manage to complete an author page here and happy to answer any questions! Thanks in advance for your interest!

Silvia Pettem (silviapettem) | 4 comments Hello: I'm Silvia Pettem, a longtime resident of Colorado, but my roots are in the East. I'd like to introduce my newly released book, Cold Case Chronicles: Mysteries, Murders & the Missing (Lyons Press, 2021). The book tells the stories of victims –– some missing, some murdered and some with changed identities. All are true, and each are mysterious in their own ways. The cases in this nonfiction narrative date from 1910 through the 1950s and include evolutions in forensics, as well as historical context in order to view the men, women and children through the lens of time.

Included are recent theories on the cases of Judge Joseph Crater (missing from New York City in 1930) and film director William Desmond Taylor (shot in Hollywood in 1922). Other chapters help to unravel the mystique of individuals with changed identities. Included, too, is a case of aerial sabotage, the "Boy in the Box," and unusual disappearances of young women, along with child abductions and four missing adventurers –– Everett Ruess, Joseph Halpern, and Glen and Bessie Hyde.

Readers are encouraged to draw their own conclusions, consider how detectives would handle these and other cases today, and learn how genetic genealogy brings new hope for the future.

John My name is John Prather. My novel The Jesus Nut was released by Atmosphere Press on June 1, 2021. It's a funny, empathetic, diverse, redemptive story of friendship and faith amidst a bizarre satirical pilgrimage in search of a remarkable relic. I guarantee (yes, I'll put my money where my mouth is) it'll make you laugh, but it'll also make you think about homelessness, hypocrisy, gender and sexual discrimination, and more.

I self-published The Adminisphere, a satire of public education whose message really applies to any institution, in 2016. I have an MA in Radio-TV-Film, and my co-written screenplay Someone Else's War does well in contests but has yet to sell.

C.L. Simchick | 4 comments Hi everyone! My name is Cole, and I'm a debut author that recently published my first YA Fantasy Novel. I've been reading fantasy / sci-fi / fiction for as long as I've been on this earth and finally decided to give life to an original idea that's been in my head for years. When I'm not writing, I enjoy some time on the golf course and spending time with my wife (and our cats). I'm a full-time software developer and part-time Army Reservist.

Marketing and self-promotion is hard, but I'm doing my best! If you or anyone you know is interested in YA Fantasy, I'm always looking for new readers! Here's the link to my book on GR: Trials of the Serpent God

Kara Gravis | 1 comments Hello beautiful people of GoodReads ! My name is David Martín, and I am an spanish artist from Madrid currently under the moniker of 'Kara Gravis' grinding my eyes and fingers to complete an epic Science Fiction nonalogy called The Epica Fabula Psychica: EXXEGESIS23.

EXXEGESIS23 tells the story of the Imperium of Eden, a semi-roman, amazon-like, dystopian empire in a post-apocalyptic Europe, where cloning has become the only way for the latest (and final??) branch of the hominid species, AKA the Homo Psychicus, to survive extinction. The edenites, an all-female race, endures and thrives inside the tall Three White Walls of the Imperium, looking to further improve themselves through heterotic practices and psychic therapy, in order to reach perfection, constantly testing and purging themselves to ensure the survival of the fittest and the evolutionary gifts received through heavenly fire and earthly radiation.

I'm currently self-published through Amazon KDP and very proud to have finally fulfilled the dream of becoming a professional writer, even if I am just starting this career. As many of you, I'm trying to slowly build a fanbase one step at a time, looking and sharing my work wherever it may be appreciated, so I'd like to share a link to the Amazon page where you can find the official synapse for EXXEGESIS23. The book is both in spanish and english, translated by myself, and all the cover arts are also painted by myself.

Hope you give it a try and enjoy it as much as I enjoyed it creating it!

Gary Gunter (goodreadscomgary_gunter) | 1 comments Hey all. My name is Gary Gunter. I am a self-publishing author with 13 titles on Amazon (KDP). Born and raised as a Colorado boy, but have been in Florida for the last 25 years or so. Make my living as a tech writer at a software company. Pays the bills just fine, but my passion is fiction writing. Sci fi and magic realism are my two favorite genres, with fantasy pulling in as a close third.

Always wishing for more time to write, but also acknowledge that this aspect of the self-publishing gig is an important part of getting one's name out there. Happy to make new connections with fellow writers who are striving like I am, always hopeful that some new readers might turn up somewhere as a result of all this effort. Let's motivate one another. All comers welcome. Happy to give and receive constructive feedback.

My latest excursion in the sci fi world is "Skunk Monkeys in the Warzone," my thirteenth title on Amazon.

Currently working on a collection of short stories. Never bored, always busy. Hope to hear from you. Best of luck in all your writing endeavors.

Ronald | 25 comments Hello folks, I'm Ron, self-published author of "Echoes of Vietnam | A Soldier's Voice is Heard".

Echoes recounts the experiences of a young U.S. officer leading patrols in Vietnam in 1972--and how those experiences transformed him over the decades.

That soldier is my 74 year-old brother, Roger. My goal in writing Echoes was to capture his story before it was lost forever. Mission accomplished.

Hope you enjoy it.
