Darcia Helle (darciahelle) Hello everyone! I am both an avid reader and writer. I will read most anything - fiction books, nonfiction books, e-books, magazines, ingredient labels - anything with words!

I write mystery/suspense fiction, as well as a monthly non-fiction newsletter called Guilty As Charged. I currently have 4 novels published and number 5 should be out in late January.

I love the idea of connecting authors with readers. I'm looking forward to meeting new friends!

Ilene, Brandy and Val, Real Dogs with Real Tales Fine (httpgoodreadscombrandyandval) | 8 comments Hi everyone! I'm here to introduce my children's board books series BRANDY AND VAL, REAL DOGS WITH REAL TALES, books that entertain and delight children through simple tales about my two shelter dogs. Real, unstaged photos of the dogs in action and brightly colored pages captivate children’s attentions as they read about how the pups spend their day, what their favorite things are and how they were adopted. Children can interact with plush toys that look like Brandy and Val as they learn about topics like friendship, caring for pets and being a family among others. Parents can feel good knowing they are helping animal rescues through their purchase of a Brandy and Val book and toy and they have a product their children will have fun playing with. So, please check out my website (and blog) http://www.BrandyandVal.com and http://www.BrandyandVal.com/blog

Monica Fairview Hi Vincent,

Thank you for starting this group. My name is Monica Fairview and I write Austenesque sequels. THE OTHER MR DARCY came out in October. It follows Caroline Bingley after being deprived of Mr Darcy. The next novel is coming out in March and is forcused on Georgiana Darcy, and there's a third one in the works. THE OTHER MR DARCY was number 1 in Regency on Amazon.ca, and reached number 6 in Regency on Amazon.com.

Now I live in the UK, south of London, though I also lived in the US for many years. I was in Boston for eight years (hello Henry!), and I've lived in Illinois, Colardo, Texas, LA, Oregon and Seattle.

I'm glad to meet all of you. Such a diverse group of people with so many interests. I'm glad we all share this wonderful passion for writing.

Wendy Gillissen (wendygillissen) | 8 comments Hi everyone! And thanks Vincent, for creating this group! I already saw a familiar face (hi Anna!)
I'm Wendy, I'm from the Netherlands, and when I'm not writing I'm playing the Celtic harp or creating jewelry. I also double as a psychologist and certified past life therapist;)
I had stories living inside of me ever since I could read and write, but I only recently started writing fiction - and my first try ended up as a 444 page novel:-)
I posted Curse of the Tahiéra under "General fiction" although some would classify it as 'Fantasy' - because it's not your typical fantasy epic.
Glad to meet you all!:)

Paul | 27 comments Hi Lady: I'm not sure if there are any books specifically for adapting print to screen. I can blog about the differences and how you format for film, etc, if you'd like. That can give me something interesting to write over the Christmas Holidays.

My blog's at http://paul-mitton.blogspot.com/, and there's already quite a few posts that mention screen writing in general terms.

A.F. (scribe77) | 142 comments Hello everyone, I'm A. F. Stewart, an author who writes fantasy, horror and poetry.
I have a published novella, Chronicles of the Undead, about vampires in 17th century England who prey on one family over several generations. The book is slightly unusual in format, as it is written in the form of diary entries from the point of view of three different people.
I've also published two collections of short fiction, two volumes of poetry, and a fun little book of action movie cliches.
I'm a total sci-fi/fantasy geek, a movie buff, amateur historian and voracious reader.

Hi A.F.,
your Chronicles sound like a fascinating read! The journaling format worked very well for Bram Stoker's Dracula, if I remember correctly (I read it years and years ago), so I imagine it works well for you, too.

I've been writing/producting television for something like 25 years (Murphy Brown, Cybill, Drew Carey, Becker, Mad About You, St. Elsewhere and plenty that absolutely stink).
Thing is, I love writing ... much more that being a television writer/producer... and that's what I'm doing. I've written my first novel... a Fantasy/Humor thing called The Wheel of Nuldoid (www.Nuldoid.com). It's being well met, and am working now on the screenplay version.
I love writers and talking about writing. So... feel free to drop a line.

Thanks. Becker never got much attention, always kind of under the radar, but it was a nice experience for me. I was there for 5 years... mostly because Ted D. is such a good guy. In the middle of those five years, my father was dying of ALS and moved here to L.A. where he came to the show every week. Ted and the rest of the cast and crew just kind of adopted him. It is really a sweet story.
Anyway, thanks again,
Russ

I'd like to thank Vincent for starting this group, it appears to be what I've been looking for. Cheers.
My name is Andy Love, I live with my wife and two cats. My two adult kids have flown the nest. I love horror stories or films. I used to really enjoy the old b&w horror's, I think some new films tend to miss out that... tension. But some old ones are just too funny now.
I write horror stories such as my book Short Shocks Volume I(100 pages)and currently working on SS2 which I intend to be novel size and looking forward to finishing, so I can start my first novel.
