Hi! My name is Therese Pautz and my first novel, Rain and Revelation (Beyond Eden Press, LLC), came out late October 2012. www.rainandrevelation.com. I'd classify it as commercial fiction rather than literary. I like books that move quickly and hold my attention. Currently, I'm working on another novel set in Minneapolis, MN. I'm excited to be part of this group.

Hi I'm Mercy.New writer, my first ebook published today.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00C0C8BZC
please check it out! romance writing.
thank you.
Hi Mercy! I noticed that your link to Amazon doesn't show you as having an author profile. You should add one! Also, your pitch (short synopsis) is very short. I don't really get a feel for the story. Do you have a blog or anything that goes into any depth with your story? Maybe you could upload a few chapters as a "teaser" here on Goodreads. Just a few suggestions. :)
Hi all. I live in Zimbabwe. I love to read, and I read most genres. I also write mainstream and sci-fi/fantasy. Looking forward to making new friends!
Hello everyone! I just published my 4th book, and am in the middle of a free promotion. I write fantasy, usually geared toward middle-grade, but anyone who is young at heart will enjoy my work too. I just released a fantasy series that is kind of a "Beauty and the Beast" sort of tale. Some have also compared it to the "Ugly Duckling." It's full of fairies, dragons, elves, and magic. I'm offering it for free through tomorrow (March 26) so grab a copy for your Kindle or Kindle app! Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/The-Land-Flames...

Includes the free Prologue for my story and a bit more depth to the synopsis.
I felt it was a little short too!
Thank you for your feedback, you're a star.
Hello everyone. My name is Tracey. I became a Goodreads Author yesterday after the publication of my first book An Angel By The Bed.It tells of my life with the angels from the time I was little to the present day. It also includes all the "unexplained" things that have happened to me over the years. Finally it includes a section on how to connect with your angel.
If you are interested it is available on http://www.lulu.com as a paperback and pdf e-book.

Mercy wrote: "Hi Tracey, I used lulu however it just wasn't easy to download, maybe try kindle, I mean you've done the hard part and kindle e books are free to make and easier to download, best of luck"Hi Mercy, They wouldn't let me turn my manuscript into a Kindle e-book for some reason so I couldn't do it. One of my friends downloaded it the other day no problem so I'll stick with that for now.

I really like to read and I'm also a -very slow, if I have to admit- writer (who criticises her own work too much much much much lol) My interest is in fantasy books, but I also am a huge fan of Agatha Christie too :) Nice to meet all of you! and feel free to add me as your bookworm friend!~
Hi everyone. My name is Gary Goldstein, author of "Jew in Jail," and motivational & inspirational speaker on recovery from addiction.

I'm Thelma Zirkelbach. I've written romance, poetry and creative non-fiction. I have just released a memoir, Stumbling Through the Dark, the story of my husband and my final year together.
My name is Barbara, I have been a member of good reads for only a week and I am loving it. At the moment I have been putting on my book shelf all the books I have read over the past 5-6 years, and it has been a thrill to write my own thoughts about them.. I am a slow reader now so I don't like to stock pile books I want to read in the future, but am enjoying the "maybe I will read this book next", it is opening my horizons to a world of books I never new existed.
Hi all!I'm Jes. Not an author, but a book cover designer and reader. I'd be happy to do a few reviews or beta reads. I primarily like memoirs, YA, and dystopian stuff. Just a touch of scifi, but not oodles of it.

Hello everyone! I'm new to this group and just wanted to introduce myself.I'm a Goodreads author and just self-published my debut novel, Sleaze Crossing . This absurd and vulgar tale revolves around one night in the life of Jake Foster, a down-on-his-luck and desperate compulsive gambler, who's on the run from a pair of violent, hard-drinking Russians out to collect on his bad debt. Things quickly spin out of control for Jake as he navigates through an obstacle course of other L.A. sleazebags, degenerates, schemers, and misfits.

Vincent wrote: "Please introduce yourself! Do you write books? Our first book, The Back-Up List looked like it might be our last but the voices in our heads did not vanish, thank heaven.
I love to read- anything! I love classics. I have a soft spot for Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, and delight in the words of Sir Walter Scott. He's awesome. I also love more modern day things, the Shop-a-holic books made me smile, and yes I will admit to loving the Twilight books. She got a lot of flack, but here's the thing- they were entertaining! I loved The Help, and James Patterson's Alex Cross books are the best!
Our books are a little different from the norm. We've been told our books are like being able to peak into real people's lives. The friendships are the focus but there is also love. We wanted to write something that would induce both laughter and tears, we feel we've accomplished this gargantuan task. You're welcome, ;)
We are busy releasing the second book in A Series of Lists, The List of Possibilities which will be out March 29th! We thought we might stop at 3, but we don't think it's possible- our characters are not quite done!
curious about The Back-Up List? Check out the Blog!

Hello, everyoneI'm Dave, a language teacher [ESL] in New Zealand, originally from mainland China. I came to NZ to begin for a holiday, then my life starts changing for good. I've been here for the fourth New Year. The book Over A Year is my first memoir novel, based on my experience in NZ.
I believe the story is interesting but it always allows me to improve it as my advanced but not quite native-like English. I would be much happier if someone is interested in reading it and letting me know how I can make it better.
Cheers,
welcome to Auckland
Hello everyone, how exciting is this? I'm new to the writing game but I've been reading since. . . well as long as I can remember and that's a very long time. My self published book is called Chosen and I should have another one out very soon. At the moment I'm writing Fantasy but I think I have a SciFi waiting to get out so I'll be working on that one soon. I live in Tasmania and wish for more spare time to write, hopefully one day . . .

Hi, I am Jennifer Priester. I am a reader of almost every genre. The only types of books that I have never liked are romance. In every other genre that I have read I have found books I like.Besides reading I write books. My first book was recently published in June of 2012 and is the first in a series. I have many unpublished books that I am working on. I write books about, animals, the relationships between humans and animals, magic, and the supernatural. Most of my books are fiction but I do have some nonfiction in the works. Many of my books are also collections of short stories rather than full length novels.
Besides writing books I do all the inside and cover artwork for all my books, with a little help from a friend who adds detailing to my drawings to make the characters look more realistic.
I didn't do my first book, but I recently became a book layout designer so started with my second book all of my books will be put into both print and digital formats by me. I also do book layouts for other people and have a few upcoming jobs.
When I am not working with books in some way, I like to watch TV and movies, play video games, go horseback riding, and spend time playing with my pets.
I don't own a horse although the one I ride does get treated like one and I consider him to be an honorary pet. The animals I do own include: a crazy Chihuahua called Taco, two Mini Rex rabbits called Chibi & Kojikaki, and a 10 year old Goldfish called Pumpkin.
I have owned many pets and all of them, current, former, and even honorary, have become either characters in my fiction stories with stories based on them, part of my nonfiction books, or both. I find the animals in my life to be my biggest source of inspiration.
I think that's everything.
Well, actually, I also have a blog that I update every two weeks (give or take a few days), a website that I update whenever I have something new to add, and am on almost every social network site. I am actually on Facebook in three places. One is my personal page and the other two are author and company pages.
I guess I should mention that I am self published and created a publishing company called A & M Moonlight Creations. The A & M stand for Animals & Magic.
So that's it for now. Hopefully I have covered everything.
Hi, my name is Mitch Goth. I just released my first novel, Parabellum, a crime thriller set in Chicago. I write about 3000 words a day, five days a week, and any more than that if I can. I have many books in the works that are both series novels and stand-alone works. I am also starting on a blog on my website soon enough. I have wanted to be an author my whole life and wrote my first full length novel at age 15. I hope to have enough books out to sustain myself by the end of my college career.
Hi, everybody! I'm new. I have just published my first YA novel Isola di Squalo I'm doing my best to get it out there so people can see it. I have 2 other books already written that need major overhauls. And I've got 3 more ideas rattling around in my head.
Hello everybody, I'm delighted to have found this website. I heard of Goodreads before, but I wasn't ready to join on a serious note nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, oh goodness, there is the cat to assist me. He is such a good help. I have been writing since my 9th birthday. I have also self published. I've done many things in my live had any kind of job but nothing really worked out, I just couldn't stick it out or something rotten happened. The thing that keeps me sane is writing.
Hi, Cisem,Nice to meet you. I love Agatha Christie as well and other crime writers like Tess Geritssen. If you have a link to your story up here we can do a swap. I have written a medical crime novel which is on my profile.
About your writing; there is a site could Authonomy and there are forums with people who can help you with this. I have been this site for some time and it have really been a good experience.
Hi Mitch,You are a busy bee and very disciplined. I wish I could be like this. I have recently finished my crime novel and was so lucky to know an ex magazine/newspaper editor who've gone through the complete manuscript. Perhaps we can do a review swap.
Hi all,Its not medically or psychologically focussed but my book Dodging Suicide A Lifetime's Preoccupation is perhaps the most hilarious and moving you might read on the subject of Bipolar. Its enjoying universal 5 star reviews on a number of platforms like Amazon, Kindle, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, ibooks etc. I hope some might take advantage of sampling a free chapter by logging on to my site www.kit-johnson.com

Hi all, I'm Tori Webb and I have not long turn 29. In my final year in my twenties I decided to do something's I had never done before. One of them being writing my first novel. Which I have published on kindle store. Its called WEEKEND AWAY. It is romance fiction. Well as I put at the beginning of my book 'It is inspired by life, created in fiction.' It has a few things in the story based on events in my life. Which was fun to remember and write about.Well here is the description;
Holly is eighteen, and has spent the last two years studying to be an electrician. Holly has also been the only girl in the class, so now it's time to leave and face the real world of full time employment.
To celebrate her and her five male friends from college have decided to go to Blackpool for a 'Wild Weekend Away.' The only problem is she is in love with one of her best friends. Will she ever puck up the courage to tell him how she feels, or will she leave Blackpool never knowing what could have been?
It has some rather steamy parts to the story. So if that's not your cup of tea, then you probably won't enjoy it.
I'd love some feedback on how I have done with my first attempt.

I also have a blog: http://toriwebb.wordpress.com/
Hello everyone,I joined GoodReads yesterday and am trying to find my way around. This group sounds exciting and just what I need to become a better writer.
My first published eBook is on Amazon.com under my pen name Eva Garcia (The Haunted Lake - A Watery Grave) my first stab at a YA book. After trying without success to publish my romance novel I've been selling articles as a freelancer. Looking forward to any feedback and I will gladly do the same.

Hi all,
Just posting again to share the coupon code for a free download for my book, Finding God, Creating Me. I had it posted free to begin with but in trying to learn the ins and outs of all of the different distributors, I ended up putting a price on it. However, I created the coupon code to still offer it free through April (coupon expires May 1). If you see this post after that date and would like a new coupon code, just email me at julie (at) lovingchristministries.com, and I will send you one.
Through April, though, use coupon code GZ64Q upon checkout at https://www.smashwords.com/books/view... to get Finding God, Creating Me: A Testimony of Grief and Faith free.
Thanks!
Julie

HI... I'm Andy. Ive been writing for about a decade, starting with two (terrible) novels that are lurking somewhere on my hard-drive, followed by three non-fiction books that were actually published.
Last year I finished a third novel, "The Devil's Bloodline", and, while I try for an agent (are they necessary these days?) I've self-published in the usual places.
I'm not really sure how to classify it... its part thriller, part horror, part supernatural, maybe urban fantasy? But NOT YA... If anyone can help with classification Id be grateful.
I don't know about anyone else, but I have real trouble with titles. I've been searching for something catchy: Second Coming, Izaldin, Sins of the Father... and finally settled for "The Devil's Bloodline".
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17...
I'm trying to pick up tips on marketing and promotion and (of course!) looking for some reviews, so if anyone is interested... let me know and I'll enable a free copy.
It goes both ways, so if anyone writes a similar style of book, I wouldn't mind reading/reviewing.
Thanks
Andy
Hello everyone! I'm Ina Linger. I'm an author from Germany. I have written and published two books so far. A romantic comedy (which I wrote with my best friend Cina Bard) called Three-Night-Stand - Liebe ist simpel and the first book of my fantasy series Falaysia - Fremde Welt - Band 1: Allgrizia. They are both available in German and English. For I can't live off the money I gain with my books I still work additionally as a social worker with kids and teenagers who have major problems with their social behaviour. I need my writing after work for relaxing and diving into another world I have the control of. I'm really happy to have found some great groups for authors here on goodreads and hope to be able to exchange views about reading, writing and publishing books and so on.
More information about me you can find here in my goodreads profile or on my website: http://www.inalinger.de/
I hope to get to know a lot of readers and other authors here and maybe even find some advice.
HI! I'm an author, mom, and kind of a nut. Okay, take out the "kind of." I am a voracious reader and writer. I let my imagination carry me to places no man has been before. Oh, wait. That's already been done.
Okay, lets' start again. I'm Jeannie, aka J.M. Powers. I love writing historical romance. Medieval is my favorite era, but I delve into contemporary as well, sometimes mixing the two.
Jewel of Ramstone. There. I plugged my baby. (Every writer has one, no matter how many books published. Let's move on.
One more plug and I'll stop. My blog/ blogs I belong to:
http://jmpowersromance.blogspot.com/
http://www.fiveforfiction.com/
Feel free to browse, follow, comment or whatever else one does on a blog.
I'm a mom of five. Children, not puppies or kittens, though I think that would be easier.
I love raising my family on an island in Western New York, though I despise the winters here.
I was raised in the South...hm...how did I end up living in the North? Don't ask. I'm still trying to figure that out.
Well, that's my introduction into this group. I hope to connect with readers and writers alike.
I have more books coming out soon. Just sayin'
Hi AndyI have a problem with pigeon holing for genres as well. My book is a medical/psychological/horror/paranormal/crime/drama/detective novel. But there are no werewolves or zombies.

Anyone tried this out? It could add a whole new dimension to the experience of the reader if the authors could just get on board.http://www.google.com/landing/nose/
Dude! I tried it! It really works... Amazing! How do they do it? "College dorm"... dont even need to get your nose that close to the screen...
