no I never thought that up. I get a vision when the author gives me details but it is not always clear what they look like. that is an idear????
I tended to picture Christian Bale and Gerard Butler as my hero a lot. I have even casted more of the Wallflower books by Lisa Kleypas.
I would LOVE Christian Bale in a regency romance movie. The closest we've was when he was Laurie in Little Women.
Wasn't Christian Bale in 'The Age of Innocence'? IIRC, he played Daniel Day Lewis's son. Granted, it was a very small part, but...
I forgot about both those movies! That's true.Christian Bale would be well cast as one of the Bridgerton boys - either Anothony, Benedict, or Colin. Tom Cruise when he was younger and less nutty would have made a good Colin Bridgerton too.
I'm excited to see Robert Downey Jr. in Sherlock Holmes even though that's not a romance. We need to get in touch with these guys agents!
Hugh Jackman, Rupert Penry-Jones, Eva Green, Judith Godreche. I had a huge crush on Christian Bale since American Psycho & was 1 of Baleheads, but strangely, since he went mainstream, I kinda lost interest... My current hottie is Matthew Bommer (tho' I wish he were a bit taller 'cuz I luv tall guyz) =^D
Ooooh, Richard Armitage! How could I have forgotten him? Time for another 'North & South' session. :)
Matt Bomer is delish, Verity. He's my Vishous from the BDB books. I'm with you. I love tall guys! Christian looked so emaciated in Terminator Salvation, I was being unfaithful and drooling over Sam Worthington instead.
Rupert Penry-Jones, oh yes. Richard Armitage, definitely. Ioan Gruffudd is my Sebastian Wroth from No Rest for the Wicked by Kresley Cole. I cast Jamie Bamber as Westcliff (although he has blue eyes and Westcliff has brown I think he fits him in my mind).
Luke Goss is who I cast as St. Vincent.
Eva Green is so pretty. I have cast her as Jane in If You Desire by Kresley Cole.
You probably never heard of him, but I really like James D'Arcy. He's Jack from Suddenly You by Kleypas. Kate Winslet is Amanda.
Rachel Weisz is Sara and Gerard Butler is Derek Craven from Dreaming of You.
Matthew Marsden is Alex and Keira Knightley is Lily from Then Came You.
I make Power Point slides of characters from books, or I did when I had more free time. I've done a lot of Johanna Lindsey (my first author), Kresley Cole, Lisa Kleypas (I need to add the Hathaways), Kinley MacGregor, Mary Balogh, Jo Beverley books. I have done few for the Black Dagger Brotherhood, but I need to work on those.

LOL... I've luved James D'Arcy since 'The life & adventures of Nicholas Nickleby' & 'Sherlock'. Even bought the DVDs to drool all over him. Even sat thru' the horrible Exorcist to see his gruesome death. He's also in a couple of Hercule Poirot episodes. Yummy !
Verity, my sister. I was tempted to watch that Exorcist movie (and I hate demon movies) to drool over James. I feel you!

I'll try to get it figured out and post them. Maybe I can make videos.

Cool, Danielle! If you want to upload them where we can download them, you can use a file host like www.filefront.com :)
Heheee... James D'Arcy does make a hawt priest. I'd go to confession daily if he were my local priest =)~http://farm1.static.flickr.com/94/279...
Matthew Fassbender is another 1 I have a crush on. He plays Stelios in 300 (nope, I don't like Gerard Butler & strongly believe he'd be miscast as Jamie Fraser in 'Outlander' series)
When "Priest" & "Wings of the dove" came out, I was head over toes in lurrvve w/ Linus Roache. Now he's on Law & Order, a bit older. Also wish he were taller.
Daniel Day-Lewis was also my go-to visual for an intense, long-haired hero a la 'The last of the Mohicans'. I must've seen that movie a gazillion times & he still melts my heart w/ his lines =^B
For sultry heroines :
- Kelly Brook (brit model w/ natural ginormous boobs).
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm563190528...
- Elizabeth Reaser (Ava = Grey's Anatomy)
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm315186022...
More swoon-worthy hotties :
- Henry Cavill.
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm362109900...
- Jared Padalecki.

D, don't bother to watch that stinker Exorcist, not worth it. I avoid scary movies like the plague 'cuz they give me nitemares & I need my beauty sleep. The original Exorcist w/ Linda Blair scared the $hi+ outta me & I saw it several times on tv & once when it's re-released in theatre. My sis & I quaked in our boots throughout the screening & clutched @ each other (I hear that women have suffered miscarriage after seeing it). Just hearing the eerie soundtrack can raise all my hair. I dunno why James D'Arcy accepted the role in the 1st place. Ewan McGregor's soaring voice in Moulin Rouge gave me goosebumps. He looked sooo damn hawt w/ black hair.

I used to have James D'Arcy as my wallpaper (wearing blue shirt w/ his head tilted back - so sexy), but I can't find it now 'cuz it's replaced by my current squeeze Brandon Routh. Will post it if I find it =^P
Oh, thanks for the nice James picture. I saved it. I agree with you on Linus Roach and Michael Fassbender. He was the only thing I liked about that Hex show. I cast Michael as Phillip Caxton from Captive Bride by Johanna Lindsey. I need to figure out who I can use Linus to play.
I've been trying to catch up on Supernatural watching my season 4 dvds, and seeing all the cuteness between Jared and Jensen. I've cast both of them in books.
Jared is the hero from Prisoner of My Desire and Jensen is the hero Chase from Brave the Wild Wind. Both of those are Johanna Lindsey books.

I always have a "casting call" for the characters in my books! It makes it so much more fun! I need to find time to put together a power point for some of the books. I also have music that goes with some of my books! Some of my favorite actors to cast are:
Gerard Butler (mmm, yummy!)
Matthew McConaughey
Eduardo Verástegui (holy cow, hot!)
Colin Farrell (makes a good bad-boy!)
Hugh Grant (he is just so funny it makes him hot!)
Jake Gyllenhaal
Ryan Reynolds
Matthey Bomer (those eyes!)
Gilles Marini (my Kev in Seduce Me at Sunrise)
Some of the actresses I use are:
Amy Adams (a perfect Evie Jenner in Devil In Winter)
Anne Hathaway
Catherine Zeta-Jones
Renee Zellweger
Kate Winslet
Drew Barrymore
Vivien Leigh
Keira Knightley
Hmm, if I thought long enough I'd have a very long list, so this should do for now! :)
This is a fun game. Has anyone checked out Storycasting? It's a website where you can play this game with photos and other participants -- and discuss peoples' casting choices. :-)

Awesome list, Cheryl. I totally do the Power Point with music thing! Maybe we can both do some and post them with the link that NU provided.

Sharon that website does sound interesting, I'm going to check it out when I get a chance!
Melissa I forgot to say I like your list.
I've used the last three women for Lisa Kleypas books.
I saw a commercial for Leap Day, and you are right. Amy Adams would be a good Evie in Devil in Winter.

Okay. This is the first Power Point I did.
Disclaimer: It's pretty hard to find good pics. Some of these are a bit suggestive. I don't mean to offend anyone:

It was a labor of love. Thanks for checking it out. I need to do some revisions on some of the other ones, and add some photos. I'll upload them when I get a chance.
That was excellent Danielle! I loved your choices for many of the books that I have read, some of those books I have not read though. I was very pleased to see Gerard Butler on there more than once! Maybe next time you could cast me along with him? ;)
Dina, click on the link, and there should be a button that says download file. It took me a while to download. It should automatically open in Power Point. See if that works for you.
Thanks, Cheryl. I did a lot Johanna Lindsey books, who was my first romance author.

Thanks, Dina.
If you have time, you guys should do some. It's a great time-waster, I mean, past-time. LOL.

Awesome job, Danielle! Love those choices and pics! *drool* These would be good marketing, you know, LOL.
Thanks, NU and Melissa. It's amazing how I spent my time, when I had more free time. It's fun, though. I figured you like the Justin Hartely pics, NU. :)
Oh, I did, I did! My heart went pitter-patter when I saw him. That was wonderful to see, Danielle, thanks! I could imagine him in one of these. He should show his acting chops and play in one, so we can all oh and ah over him as a gentleman, LOL. Loved all the other hotties too!
I think it would be nice to see Justin in some period movies. Then I wouldn't have to watch Smallville to see him. LOL. I'm glad you enjoyed the mens! Me too. I was surprised at how well Clive Owen and Daniel Craig fit for Anthony and James Malory.

( I love Smallville too). ^^
Has anyone ever heard of Henry Cavill? I just found him today when I was looking at the website for the show on Showtime, The Tudors. He would be an excellent character in a book, I shall cast him soon! ;)http://hotcelebs.today.com/files/2009...
Henry is delish! He's the son in The Count of Monte Cristo. I love the casting b/c Jim Caviezel and Dagmara D. really look like they could be his parents.
I can't say I have a go to actor/actress but for some strange reason lately when I've been reading the characters start to look like the people in Beauty and the Beast. For example I'm reading A Christmas Kiss by Elizabeth Mansfieldand Reggie appearing as Lafoue (Gaston's little friend) from Beauty and the Beast.
