I am sorry to hear of your loss. Mice make great pets. Very affectionate. I know you will miss Narzain and Buffy.
That's o.k. I figured that's what you meant. I wanted to clear up any misunderstaning for anyone not paying attention in the future. :)
On a side note, we are in the process of welcoming Tara and Yumi to the family. So far, Willow, our remaining mouse, is o.k. with Tara, but she and Yumi have had a few dust ups. Today, things seemed a little calmer. Tara even accepted a baby Goldfish cracker from me last night and this morning! Yay!

Very sad to read of your loss,I don`t care if it is a person, cat or Mouse a loss is always very painful.I hope the new little additions settle in well and look forward to little updates.....
So far Tara has been the one to adjust the best. Yumi is finally taking crackers from us through the bars and seems less jumpy when somebody walks by the cage (can't be helped, it's by the doorway that leads to the kitchen and bathroom) and Tara is standing up for herself if one of the others gets to close when she has her cracker, and will pursue the culprit should her cracker be stolen. She's about 50/50 for tugging it back and has caught onto the idea that there is another cracker if that one is stolen by a lazy room-mate.
Willow has seemed to adjust to the new ones and is still being her usual ninja self, and is still very happy to be picked up and held. Tara seems to be taking to being picked up as well. Yumi...well she'll get used to it....I hope....

We think she may be younger than she looks. She was the biggest mouse at the store, but she may have had a growth spurt. Usually you can tell their age by their size.
I never had a pet growing up, but now I have (at Narzain's) a mouse named Buffy, and one named Willow. Inara was Willows cage mate when we selected then 7 months ago. Buffy is not in great health, and is about 1 year and 9 months old. I will be devestated when her time comes, because it will be the first time I have lost a pet that was mine.
I hope you will bear with me as I deal with this, and remember us this week as Inara joins the earth in my back yard under a nice pine tree. She will be missed.
Update to this:
As of 12/01/09, I lost Buffy. She went quietly with dignity. I am not handling this well.
