:) I'm only on the third, but so far they're pretty decent.

I like both series. But THG had more too it. Sure in Twilight there is fighting, but no one dies. In Twilight, none of the characters spoke to me, seemed special. In THG, all of the characters were unigues and their own. Plus, Twilight I saw what was coming, I could never guess what was gonna happen in THG.
*shaking head* Why do books have Happily Ever Afters? It would be so much better if they had a Sadily Ever After!
Maybe not a Saddily Ever After, but a Not-So-Happily Ever After. I don't want every last person to die. But I do like Hunger Games-style bittersweet endings.
Yes! I loved the ending. "But there are worse games to play" It's such an awesome ending line!
Yeah...not quite "All was well", but really good anyway.
i have never read the Twilight saga, but mean to. i loved the hunger games though. And Peeta is way better than Gale.

It's good writing. I pretty much have the last paragraph memorized: "That's when I make a list in my head of every act of goodness I've seen someone do. It's like a game. Repetitive. Even a little tedious after more than twenty years.
But there are worse games to play."
It's one of the more realistic endings I've read. It's not like, 'and the prince and princess got married and lived happily ever after.'

Yeah...the books I read, the end lines are mostly symbolic and whatever, but one I read was something like "And they left the courthouse and went home." I was like really, author? Really?
Yes, definitely. THG isn't a princess bvook. It's real and war and the hunger games have lasting affects on people
YES!!! It's not a fairy tale, it's (un)realistic fiction...It has a satisfiying ending...
I like any of the listed realistic endings and happily ever endings or the tragic endings. All have their place!
Well...some books needed the happily ever after ending. Harry Potter, for instance. Poor Jo Rowling would probably get death threats if she killed many more people.
In the Hunger games, the love is raw and wonderful. Twilight is all about how important it is to have a boyfriend and it's just plain annoying. Bella's "love" for Edward is not love, it's simply obsession.
Bella is just annoying. There. Summed up everything I think about Twilight. And normally I suck at summaries.
HG.
Guys, read my profile pic.

I can't. Too small. But I can tell what the font is: Adobe Garamond Pro, right? And that's what The Hunger Games are done in.

I started reading the first Twilight book and I couldn't finish it. It was AWFUL. So definitely The Hunger Games. Collins had me hooked the moment I started reading it and those cliffhangers at the end of each chapter made me continue, I couldn't stop! I liked the romance in The Hunger Games, too.
This is a discussion about which one you like better. Not pounding on twilight or HG . Dont bring up the giver or any other book. Read the freakin discussion label. And the answer to the question that's actually supposed to be answered is I would rather read HG.
Hunger games is winning. (Just saying)
well, to be fair, though- this is in the hunger games group. I'm pretty sure that this same question would garner a different response in the twilight lovers group...
Either way, Hunger Games, for obvious reasons.Edit;
In regards to the 'last line' topic thingeh on page 15, I expected the last line to be like, "A game no-one should have ever had to play."
Actually, she did. But it was that coupled with a million other, far more depressing reasons.
Olivia wrote: "HUNGER GAMES ALL THE WAY! THat shouldn't even be a question! (no offense to any Twilight lovers)"Haha... Agreed...
That doesn't even count as a question. THE HUNGER GAMES ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!! I can't stand Tw*l*ght.
*laughs* Nice. Bleeping out "Twilight".
