Neither. I would make friends with them and then track down Cinna.

message 604: by [deleted user] (new)

By the way, the romantic setting of the books was kind of secondary to everything else. So I think it's kinda sad that we have, like, seven topics or something on Katniss's love life and about two on the rebellion...

good point...do you think it's actually realistic that murdering people's children would stifle a rebellion for 75 years? I sorta think that would be the quickest way to MAKE them rebel...

message 606: by [deleted user] (new)

They won't because the districts are isolated. They know they don't stand a chance against the Capitol all alone.

message 607: by Kirby (new)

Kirby | 30 comments I don't know, maybe that explains it...I just can't hardly see all those moms just watching kid after kid die, making no move to stop it, just hoping it won't be theirs...I mean, katniss showed that there was nothing stopping them from escaping and getting back in, they coulda met up and made plans...but, maybe that was just d12 that could do that...and maybe they did try something in those 75 years and we're just not told about it...

Yeah I know what you mean, it's more exciting and fun to read

message 611: by [deleted user] (new)

I know...Twilight, she's kind of moping for the majority of the books...I mean, Katniss does that, but she does get stuff DONE while she's moping, y'know?

ℂᖺαᖇᒪἷ℮ ⊰1017 &Tardis⊱ (charlie_awesome) | 625 comments Lol true and funny!

XD

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) (3teofilea3) | 627 comments Well..Yes The Hunger Games wins on all levels. More action and meaning to it. I learned stuff from THG.. Plus I enjoyed the slight romance in THG, but in Twilight it was weird cause they were vampires and werewolves..

message 615: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah! I'm a big fan of fantasy and stuffs but Twilight was just...ew.

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) (3teofilea3) | 627 comments I can't say that I hate it. I liked Twilight. But I didn't love it.

message 617: by [deleted user] (new)

It would've been good if Bella wasn't so freaking annoying.

message 618: by [deleted user] (new)

http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs71/i/201...

I didn't do it. But I think it's cool. Even though it only has one THG character in it, I think it's worth sharing here.

message 619: by [deleted user] (new)

They're trying to kill Edward Cullen, by the way.

message 620: by [deleted user] (new)

Actually, I hated Bella and was okay with the boys. :/

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) (3teofilea3) | 627 comments Well...as a person..Jacob isn't that great. He was super jealous of Edward (I know everyone would be if they loved Bella but he took it too far). And he was too pushy..Just my opinion :)

message 622: by [deleted user] (new)

Stupid overdone love triangles. *descends into muttering*

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) (3teofilea3) | 627 comments haha...

Aminah HUNGER GAMES

message 625: by [deleted user] (last edited Nov 28, 2011 03:40PM) (new)

No, but seriously. I would like to read a good YA book with a teen female lead with exactly one love interest and a plotline OUTSIDE her love life.

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) (3teofilea3) | 627 comments Lemme think of one..Nope can't think of any right now! That's sad :(

With a teen female? A YA book? Yeah, I don't think so. That's like asking for the sun to turn purple or the stars to shine green in a yellow sky!

message 629: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah...it's just a dream. There are dreams that will forever stay dreams. Like that, and like the dream that I will grow wings and join the flock.

...the first one is actually more impossible.

message 630: by Felicia (new)

Felicia (FLShockley) | 1 comments I hate when people try to compare the Hunger Games and Twilight or the Hunger Games and Harry Potter, or any other combinations. I loved all three series and I don't feel that comparing them is fair. They're each wonderful in their own way, different in their own way, and each series touched me and left a lasting impact. You may despise one and love another, but comparing them is like comparing Stephen King to Dean Koontz, or Janet Evanovich to Jennifer Crusie. They each write books for the same general type of genre, but they're great in their own way. Don't compare them, but respect them individually.

message 631: by [deleted user] (new)

Thank you :)

I don't read the other two authors but don't see anything wrong w/ comparing stephen king to dean koontz...things don't have to be exactly alike for comparison- in fact, it's better if they're not...

message 633: by Aminah (new)

Aminah I really like the hunger games!

message 645: by [deleted user] (new)

@ Torey: no movie, possibly for Heist Society though
@ Snickerdoodle: Yhep. But they're really kick butt

i love those books. THey rock

message 646: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm working my way through CHERUB right now, I so I might rest before starting on spy kids again.

message 647: by [deleted user] (new)

It's about a secret branch of the British spy service that's made up of just kids. Because no one ever thinks that kids are spying on them, they make perfect spies. Although they never use "spies", they either use "CHERUB agents" or just "cherubs".

message 648: by [deleted user] (new)

ooh. sounds pretty good

message 649: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, me too

message 650: by [deleted user] (new)

Sorry. First book: CHERUB: The Recruit

By Robert Muchamore.
