I personally don't think "Twilight" even belongs in the same sentence with "The Hunger Games," especially when you take the lead female characters into account. Bella is so pathetic compared to Katniss, and not nearly as emotionally developed as a character.
Personally I can't even compare the two...I feel that they are in separate worlds. In my opinion, not only does the Hunger Games trilogy have great romantic scenes as well as tension--it also happens to be written in such a way that allows a bigger audience to enjoy it. I'm not a fan of Twilight(but yes I read them all), so I'm trying to not be bias, but I just feel that the Hunger Games is better developed and has a deeper story with some romance versus Twilight that is more of a "romance" and has less of a story deeper than that...
I liked Twilight when I read it but compared to the Hunger Games it STINKS!!! So DEFINATELY the Hunger Games.
I never read Twilight and had no desire to so...DUH HUNGER GAMES FO SHO! :D CUZ WE ARE THE FANS ON FIRE!! :D
I amc currently reading the Twilight Saga-and it isn't that bad... I guess it would have to be a tie...because I love them both so much!
I'm not a fan of twilight so the answer would be easy for me- hunger games! oh and all you hunger games fans, if you love the auther, suzanne collins, she wrote, before the hunger games and amazing series call ed the underland chronicles! the first book is called gregor the overlander, it's AMAZING!
Hunger games without a doubt.
I've read both but THE HUNGER GAMES TRILOGY WINSSS!!! In twilight the characters are forgetable and the book isn't half as interesting as the hunger games!!!! I liked Twilight when I first read it and then a month later I was like yeah I don't want to see the movie i am not into it anymore.....You can't really compare the two...
At my school, everyone loves Twilight.
They also love Hunger Games and Harry Potter.
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW DOES THIS WORK

How can you love Twilight at the same time as loving Harry Potter and Hunger Games?
I just don't get it. :|
I just don't get it. :|
I've read all three, THG,Twilight, and HP and I liked all three but later on I stoped being a Twilight fan a month after I read the series. I was no longer hooked. I still like it (not Breaking Dawn though). However HP is still one of my favorite series and I LOVE the HG...So yes, you can like all three... (to answer Laura)
Definitely The Hunger Games. It's more exciting but still has strong romance, whereas Twilight is mostly just romance with the occasional werewolf/vampire fight.
yeah, not to mention The Hunger games has a real plot and isn't JUST about the romance. It has romance but the romance doesn't completely over shadow the book
Really? This question even needed to be asked? Uh, The Hunger Games! Okay sorry if that was a little mean... I am obsessed with vampires! Though they're not just Stephanie Meyer's pretty little sparkly vampires (groans)... they're Cassandra Clare's amazingly awesome blood-sucking absolutely AMAZING vamps, who I fell in love with immediately. :P
"The Breeze" wrote: "Really? This question even needed to be asked? Uh, The Hunger Games! Okay sorry if that was a little mean... I am obsessed with vampires! ." I agree!
I love them both but I would have to say The Hunger Games. Its not even really a tough question for me. Twilight was great but theres just so much more intensity in The Hunger Games, and it seems more realistic. Like someone said, with no deaths in Breaking Dawn, like everything ended up perfect. Thats not as interesting.
Yeah..Also in Twilight the main character wasn't like as interesting as Bella..Like Katniss was different
I did like reading both series. If I had to chose, it would be Hunger Games. I have to say though, I was a bit obssesive with the Twilight Series when they were out. I am sure there will be another series of books that will do the same after this. I must have something with series?! I am currently reading the ladybug farm series. :-)

I have to admit, I was pretty obsessed when I first read Twilight. I was 12...I think. It started dwindling once I read the last book, and then it really went away once I watched the movie. That was...bad. Ha. BUT I gotta say, I think they're getting progressively better. Anyways, in Twilight she basically just keeps saying how beautiful gorgeous Edward is and it starts to get annoying. It focuses more on the romance than anything else. And she fell REALLY HARD REALLY FAST. When he left, she was suicidal. What does that tell our girls today? That they need a 107 year old vampire to make their life worth living? No. That's bad. The Hunger Games on the other hand, has so many more aspects and themes to it. I love how it focuses on humanity, totalitarian government in dystopia, taking control, violence (but not pointless), AND romance. Katniss is a tough chick that knows how to get through, especially when a male isn't around to save her (or to start a revolution). I love this book for so many reasons. And everyone I recommend it to loves it as well, which is definitely a plus! :)
Is that some kind of joke?! THE HUNGER GAMES! Okay, maybe I'm a little biased (my favorite moment in Twilight was when Bella jumped off the cliff), but seriously, the Hunger Games are about fifty thousand times better. Because they're not all about "OMG WHICH GUY DO I HAVE TO CHOOSE?!" They're more like, "Survive first, then choose." Just better, in general.

Twilight was okay, but Hunger Games was and is one of my favorite books of all time.
The Hunger Games will ALWAYS be some of my favorite books. I will read them to my grandchildren and they'll be rolling their eyes but I WON'T CARE.

totally the hunger games!Like all breaking dawn is practically about is edward and bella's wedding and kid!
really ppl come on! and i just think that the hunger games story line/plot is much better then vampires and werewolfs! u must be really sown in the dumps to be watching that bull!
My friends support me. Actually, one of them hates the Hunger Games (cue collective gasp) but she agrees that they're better than Twilight. :)
