Hertzan Chimera (hertzanchimera) this isn't an intentional rant against the utter mediocrity of Spider-Man 3 but ... I remember from my brief stint in 'school' that most Greek three-act narratives climaxed with a healthy postscript of smut and riot. Yes, they wore big noses ala Clockwork Orange. Yes, they simulated bestial rape just like Clockwork Orange. No, they weren't supposed to be relevant.

We don't see any of this irreverence in today's dull grey cinema - what the hell happened to the climactic sauciness of the three-act narrative?
