Currently reading The White Queen. About a quarter through. I love it so far. Has anyone else read/reading this?

Just finished The Fifth Sister, A Paranormal Romance - Z.L. Arkadie. Now I am about to start Enchantment - Charlotte Abel.
My husband cannot understand why I find this so fascinating from a sociological standpoint. It doesn't appeal to me in the slightest. I have sister's and a best friend I love like a sister, I'm not cool with sharing my husband with any of them. Still, I do find it intriguing the way they manage the dynamic of 4 wives and gaggles of children etc.
Why should an alternative lifestyle be sad, if they're happy, LG?
I mean, I cringe at the idea for myself, sure. But, if they're happy? It's their life after all.

Does he think your sisters are hot?
Lobstergirl wrote: "Amelia, I don't buy it that everyone in that situation is happy."Me neither. I have known several people who grew up in families where their father had more than one wife and there was a lot of tension in all of them.
Who is happy in any situation all the time. You're talking about an awful lot of people for them to all be happy all the time. Still, the Browns seem amazingly functional and for the most part happy. They have issues, but they seem to work them out (hence the sociological interest to me). I'd say they're a damn site less dysfunctional than the "normal" family I grew up in!
(Phil, I have no idea, I've never asked him. He certainly seems to only have eyes for me, but I suppose there's always the chance.)

Am I being made fun of, but didn't get the joke?
Amelia wrote: "Am I being made fun of, but didn't get the joke?"i am going to go out on a limb here and say NO YOU ARE NOT.
that last phrase was in SKANK FONT.
@Phil, nope.
@Mark, I have no idea what that means (skank font), but thanks! I was starting to get confused as to where the conversation was headed and was quite sure I was missing something. Apparently while I was gone there has been a SKANK related development of which I am ignorant...

"My brain hurts!"
"I got my head stuck in the cupboard!"
I've finished Enchantment - Charlotte Abel. Now I think I will read This Devil's Dice - Jackson Spence.
Now that I finished those two awful, terrible, no good classes, I'm going to finish Ellen Degeneres Seriously...I'm Kidding and then reread the Dark Tower series in order to make sense of the new one, The Wind Through the Keyhole: A Dark Tower Novel
Amelia- Try this one next for Mormon history.Under the Banner of Heaven: A Story of Violent Faith
Take that Goodreads!
Decided to have a bit of fun reading Fifty Shades of Garbage - Allie Beck. See if this is any fun lol xThere she sat, the coffee cup half full and likely cold, gripping that damn book again. Joe had come home from work for three days in a row now this week to find Marcia sitting on the couch, legs curled under her, the dim light of the end table lamp casting a glow on her enthralled form, reading a book with a necktie on it.
Finished Fifty Shades of Garbage - Allie Beck. In my opinion, was funny when you saw some parts like Fifty Shades of Grey but, near the end was boring.
Couldn't get into This Devil's Dice - Jackson Spence. So I decided to read my dad's friend's 2 books which are Three's Company & Mid Life Crisis - William Mwendwa.

'Ditches' was better.
Over the past couple of days I have read and finished Mid Life Crisis - William Mwendwa and Three's Company - William Mwendwa. Now I am reading Taken - Charlotte Abel.
reading Gemini by Michel Tournier. very interesting. although the GR summary sorta cheapens it, narrows its scope. there is a lot going on in this book and much of it has nothing to do with twins.
